Aiden's POV
All through the movie, which we decided on Bambi cause I insisted she watch it, I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened before she climbed off of me.
I had so many questions running through my head right now that it was driving me crazy.
Like, why did she stop so suddenly, like it didn't affect her in anyway. The way that it affected me. I thought that I was finally going to get to kiss her. But, then, she just climbeds off.. All unaffected.
God, what is this girl doing to me?
I look over at Bambi. She was fixated on the screen in front of her. She looked so innocent. She cheeks were stained with tears from the movie but she looked beautiful. I could play with her long blonde hair for the rest of my life is she'd let me. And if I had the chance to kiss her, I'd never stop.
She doesn't realize how marvelous she is. But, I find myself thinking about how I'm so lucky to have found her that day at the park. If I'm being honest, she looked like an angel flying when I first saw her. I knew than that I wanted to get to know someone as stunning as her.
The mermaid thing obviously took me by surprise but now that we know the curse can be broken by kissing her true love, I want to be the one she falls for.
Because I love Bambina Gallegar with every ounce of my being. And I wish she could see how I feel about her. I want her to love me the way I love her. Because she's amazing and I'd be the luckiest man in the world if she loved me back.
"Aiden?" Bambi snaps me out of my thoughts.
I smile at her. "Yes?"
She yawns and stretches before continuing.
"The movies over." She tells me.
I look over at the TV and nod slightly. I pick up the remote and turn the TV off. She stands up and stretches out the rest of her body. She starts walking toward the stairs and I watch her walk away.
She turns back suddenly, giving me a questioning look.
"You coming?" She asks.
I smirk at her. "Not yet."
She raises her eyebrow at my comment. "What's that supposed to mean?"
I chuckle at her innocence. "Wanna find out?" I joke, winking at her.
"Is it like what we just did before the movie?" She asks.
I smirk. At least she acknowledged it happened.
"Yes." I agree as I lean down closer. "But so much better and so much more."
I watch as her face turns thoughtful before she smiles.
"Although I'm curious, I'm kind of wore out from the biting and the movie. So maybe you can show me what it means another time." She tells me apologetically.
So innocent.
I chuckle. "Time for bed, Bambi."

My alarm rings thirty minutes before I have to wake Bambi up to go back in the water. When I bought this house, I wanted to make sure she'd be comfortable so I made sure to buy four bedrooms but we usually slept in the same bed. Hers, mainly. So when I woke up, Bambi was cuddled into my chest with her arms wrapped around my torso. My arms were wrapped securely around her.
When I had first met her, I was going to call my dad and ask for some money so that I could rent an apartment then I was going to find a nice job so that I could pay him back and keep up the rent. But, while I was with Bambi that night, my grandfather had a massive heart attack which killed him before he even reached the hospital. He left me everything.
And he was one, very rich, man.
When I offer to rent an apartment, it was mainly just an excuse to finally get my own place. Living with my mom was great but I needed a place to chill with the boys.
Now, with all that money, I was able to find something else. It was quite easy to get the house when I made a higher offer than they asked for. Not by much just fifty grand. But, now, this place will forever be mine and Bambina's. And even if she decides I'm not who she wants, the house is hers. I can buy me something else. Her, being a mermaid now, will be homeless as a human. Even without me, she doesn't deserve that.
I play with her soft curls, and without realizing what I was doing, I lean down to kiss her forehead. She stirs slightly before her eyelids flutter open.
"Good morning, Bambi." I whisper.
She looks up and smiles. "Good morning."
I push her hair behind her ear and caress her face for a moment before sitting up. I look down at her and smile.
"Would you like to come to Hazel's birthday party?" I ask her.
I watch as she yawns then sits up. After rubbing her eyes, she looks at me like I'm crazy.
"Um.. Mermaid." Is all she says.
I chuckle. "I actually told my mom a few weeks ago that I had a meeting with my dad today so she agreed the party should be around eight tonight."
She smiles at me and throws her arms around my neck.
"Yes! I've never been to a birthday party before!" She screams in excitement.
I chuckle while shhhing her so that she doesn't wake up Hazel in the next room. She giggles as she leans back in the bed.
"Sorry." She whispers. "Wait... I thought I heard you planning a date with Darcy for tonight at eight.."
Wait, what?
Why would Bambina think that I was planning a date with Darcy? Darcy is cool and all and a great friend at that, but she isn't my sweet Bambi. She couldn't compare. Maybe that's why she can't fully like me. She thinks I'm in like with someone else. Luckily, I can completely change her thoughts about that.
"Bambi, I wasn't planning a date nor will I ever plan a date with Darcy. I don't like her in that way. She's just my friend." I assure her.
"Oh." Is all she says but her face reddens from embarrassment.
I chuckle. "Let's get you back to the water, shall we? Before my little sister decides to wake up and see a mermaid in the house. Don't get me wrong, she'd love it.. But, that's beside the point."
She sticks her tongue at me. "I'm not a mermaid yet."
I wink at her. "Yet being the key word."
She scrunches up her nose mockingly before agreeing she should go. I watch her walk down the stairs and then out the door. I give her five minutes before walking out to grab her clothes as I do every night.
