Bambina's POV
"DARCY!" I scream for the millionth time.
She's never answered me while I was calling out for her. Not once. I'm not sure how long its been but it can't be anymore than a couple of hours. I haven't grew my tail back yet so it couldn't have been too long.
But, all I could think about, is why would she be doing something like this? Because of Aiden? Because he must have trusted her to tell her my secret and asked for her help. Unless... He could be working against me now that he knows my whereabouts. He could have told her to "help me" to trap me.
How else would she know I was a mermaid. Its just a matter of time before I grow my tail and people will come bursting through those locked doors and take me away to do some sorta tests on me. Why am I so stupid. This is why I didn't want to trust anybody. Or fall in love with a human because they can turn against me at anytime. And I was stupid enough to fall for it.
I just wanted to know why he lied to me in the first place. Then I wanted to tell him that I loved him so much. I thought maybe he might choose me. But there's that stupidity again.
I should've known. They probably had this planned since the first time he saw me as a mermaid. And of course with his charming words and looks, I fell for the trap. I let him in. I let him meet my mom. He knows where she is and that can't be good if he went this far already.
I will absolutely never forgive him for this. Nor will I ever trust anyone ever again.
Aiden'sPOV
What am I supposed to do? If Kelsie found out where Bambina lives and she didn't even show up there than where could she have gone? Maybe she found a way to her moms? Or maybe someone seen her coming out of the water and is trying to expose her.
Either way, I'm going to find out. I need to. Because I don't want to believe that she stood me up. I love her and I'm going to show her how much. Tomorrow I'm going to take a six hour road trip to her moms to see if she's there. Today, I'm going to search in all the spots I know about and hopefully I can have all of my friends helping me.
Because I need help. And I can't get the police involved.
I walk upstairs to Bambina's room and sit on her bed. I take my phone out and add Kelsie and Alex into the group chat. I don't want to add Darcy although I could use all the help I could get because she's the reason we're in this predicament in the first place.
Come to my house ASAP. It's an emergency and I need your help. -Aiden

I knew I could count on them. I know that kelsie knows about her but I guess its time to let Alex in on the secret. Hopefully it goes well. Otherwise I'm just digging a bigger hole for Bambina. I just hope she doesn't think I set her up or anything considering we were supposed to meet.
Three knocks from the front door has me rushing downstairs to invite them in. I open the door, surprised to see Alex first.
"Hey, man. What's going on at.." He checks his watch. "Three in the morning."
I usher him in and we walk into the livingroom still waiting for kelsie to get here. He sits down on the couch and I sit across from him.
"Bambina is missing. She was supposed to meet me tonight but she never showed up." I explain to him. Hopefully I can tell him everything else when kelsie gets here.
His eyes scrunch up in confusion at my words.
"What makes you think she's missing? Because she stood you up?" He asks.
I shake my head. "No. There is so much more to the story but I'm gonna wait for Kels to get here."
Alex shakes his head with a chuckle. "No, last night, around eight, I think, I was walking the beach and saw Bambina skinny dipping. When she came out of the water, Darcy was there. They talked for a minute and then Bambina went with Darcy. They didn't seem like they were arguing or anything. Actually, Bambina looked excited. She's not missing, bro. She's with Darcy. Probably at your moms house."
My mouth dropped open in shock. Her and Darcy were getting along? That doesn't make any sense. Bambina stopped talking to me because Darcy kissed me. And now she's hanging out with her. And ditching me? I guess I was right all along.
"Are you sure that's what happened?" I ask him for assurance.
He nods just as there's another knock on the door. I open the door and Kelsie walks in.
"What's the emergency?"
I fill her in on what Alex just told me and she shakes her head in disagreement.
"That just doesn't sound right. I've seen the nasty looks Darcy throws Bambina's way. You can't expect me to believe, on the same day you two were supposed to meet up, that Darcy and her are now happy around each other. They don't like each other. They have only one common interest, Aiden.. You. That's it. We should go talk to Darcy and see if she's seen Bambina. Alex saw them so if she denies it, then we know she might know, or have something to do with, where Bambina is currently." Kelsie suggests.
