Bambina
Just sitting in this tub is so boring. I couldn't even tell you how long Aiden has been gone. I feel confined and trapped.
This is why I don't want to be captured. I can't even stand it for a few hours.
Suddenly, I hear something from downstairs. I stay silent just in case it isn't Aiden.
I wait quietly for them to come up the stairs before hearing a loud vaccum sounding noise outside the bathroom.
I wish I could get out of this bathroom to go check it out.
After a long, excruciating, while, someone knocks on the bathroom door before walking in.
"Hey, Bambi." Aiden greets me with a huge smile.
I look up at him with a sharp glare for leaving me in this tub all day. He chuckles at my look before sitting on the toilet beside me.
"Aw, don't be so upset. I bought you a surprise." Aiden says with a smirk on his face.
I sigh. "Aiden, I don't want anymore surprises. We haven't talked in a months after the last one." I reminded him.
He rolls his eyes. "Yeah, well, this surprise, you'll love. I promise."
I nod, hoping its not something huge. He jumps up excitedly before pulling something from the water causing the water to run out.
"Aiden! I need that!" I argued.
He chuckles once again before putting both arms underneath me to pick me up out of the tub.
"Your much heavier as a mermaid than a tiny little human." Aiden joked with a wink.
"Even as a mermaid, that's insulting." I joke back with a grin.
He smiles back at me before heading toward the bathroom door.
"Close your eyes, Bambi." He whispers in my ear, causing a shiver to run down my spine.
I nod and do as I'm told, hoping he doesn't realize what he just did to my body.
I hear the bathroom door open then close as we left the bathroom.
"Ready?" He asks. I nod, eyes still closed tight. "Open."
I open my eyes and look at the huge thing in front of me. It was full of water and big enough for a mermaid to swim around.
My eyes widen in excitement and I throw my arms around Aiden's neck. I feel him smile against my skin as he runs his fingers through my hair.
"I'm glad you like it, Bambi."
"Like it?" I question. "Aiden, I love it!" I assure him.
He sets me into the water easily before kissing the top of my head. I feel the heat of my blush rising to my face and I quickly hide it before he could see it.
"I'll be right back." He tells me.
I would've argued since he left for so long last time but this time, I'm not in a tiny tub so I nod in agreement before diving under the water. It's a lot more shallow then I'm used to but definitely big enough to swim around in.
I don't even notice when the door opens and Aiden is standing there watching me swim until I come out of the water. I look up at him with a huge smile plastered on my face.
Then I noticed his lack of clothing. He was no longer in his shirt and pants. Now he was in some shorts and nothing else. I couldn't stop my eyes from wandering down his body, causing my face to heat up once again.
This time, I didn't hide it in time because he smirks down at me.
"Mind if I join you? I've never swam with a mermaid before." He winks.
I nod, speechlessly. He chuckles as he climbs into the pool.
"To be honest, I never swam with a human before either." I tell him as I swim backwards to the edge of the pool.
He swims closer, a smirk on his face. I watch his every movement as he gets closer and closer to me.
"What are you doing?" I ask him suspiciously.
He stares at me for a few seconds as if in deep though before smirking.
"Have you ever been kissed before, Bambi?" Aiden asks as he puts his hands on my waist.
"I, uh..."
"I've kissed a lot of girls before but, I've never waited to kiss one as much as I do right now." He says softly.
"But.." I start to say.
Why would he want to kiss someone like me? I'm a merhuman who will never have a normal life.
He brings his face closer to mine. He's barely and inch away from my face. I close my eyes, waiting for our lips to meet.
Then...
"Aiden?!"
I open my eyes quickly at the same time that he pulls away. My heartbeat is pounding in my chest and I struggle to breath properly.
I almost had my first kiss.
With Aiden.
He jumps up and climbs out of the pool. "I'll be right back."
I nod, mainly because in afraid of what I'll sound like if I speak. I watch him walk out the door and close it before I'm able to move.
I instantly drop myself underwater to cool off my burning skin.
