I tapped my pencil on my desk, trying to stay awake for the History Lesson. Mr. Grey droned on and on, talking about how we Humans, formed a truce with the Vampires, Werewolves, Fae, and Fairies. Technically, before the truce, we were already friends with all of the creatures, except for Vampires.
Now, in modern times, we live side by side with the creatures, making sure to donate human or pigs blood to the Vampire Kingdom, Kruthian. But, even though we give Vampires what they need to live, people still turn from a Vamp biting them. The Vampire Queen of Kruthian made it clear that it is the way of Vampires. They won't kill Humans, but they will bite.

"Are you okay?" My brows furrowed, confused. "Why wouldn't I be?" He pointed at my hand, everyone looking to it. I looked down and saw that my pencil snapped in half, stuck in the palm of my hand. A small pool of blood had formed, and was growing bigger. There was no pain, only numbness. I quickly pulled out the pencil, and took off my shirt, leaving behind a black sports bra. Wrapping my hand in the shirt, I stood, and grabbed my bag.
This injury, without pain, meant a Vampire was coming after me... To turn me. No one knows how or why the injury occurs before being hunted... It just happens. "Please don't go!" I turned to see my boyfriend, Keith, worried. I smiled, looked into his blue eyes and ruffled his blonde hair. "You can't defeat a Vampire. You can't protect me. I have to leave, and run. It's my only chance of not becoming a Vamp. If I don't show up tomorrow, you know what happened." He put a long strand of black hair behind my ear, and kissed my forehead. "Good bye." I whispered bye, ran past my teacher and into the hall. I looked to my right, towards the High School main entrance, and saw a brown haired man. He wore all black, perfectly paired with black bat-like wings. A Vampire.

Honestly, I didn't care if I turned into a Vampire or a Werewolf, but I do care about not losing my family. They hate Vampires, and have a 'small' dislike for Werewolves. If I became what they hated, I would lose them forever.
I soon took a hard right, and ran towards the doors that lead to the student parking lot. Please, Lord, please, I thought, hoping that the silent prayer would save me from my fate. But then I felt a strong hand grab my right shoulder and spin me around. I faced the Vampire I saw earlier. His red eyes felt like they were piercing my soul, paralyzing me. My body wouldn't move, not a bit. "A pity. Young girls should never be put into this life."

He was biting my neck, holding me against his muscular body. Pain shot from my neck to my shoulder blades, causing me to whimper and my back to arch. After a few seconds, I felt my heart stop. As the Vampires Canines left my neck my vision grew blurry, and I felt much weaker.
