“As his reflection becomes more and more dominate in the mirror’s surface, his power grows and more can he control or should I say, mimic? His Element is an Element but on its own without a source to mirror and copy then it is nothing but an unseen barrier for protection and shoving. The years had gone by slowly then seemed to pass by quickly in a blur. By the time we reach the continuation of our tale a number of years have passed and Jordon is now a strong young man, his power able to use the four Elements the four Mages use.687Please respect copyright.PENANA9ho9RKEg7V

“This is both a mystery and an interesting joy for the Elders of Magic. It seemed to be a rare prodigy able to use all four Elements but with such praise also comes doubt and the whispers from the shadows that speak more lies normally than truth but how is it easy to tell the difference? Shall we see?” The image in the soul began to clear further showing a fully grown Jordon sitting on the hard floor of the Mage’s private training area. Behind the young man with dirty blond hair, brushed back and pulled back at the base of his neck, was Areon the Mage of Air with his slow steps quiet on the hard smooth floor.687Please respect copyright.PENANAvrxt0ip69c

Jordon sat with his legs crossed over and under the other. His eyes were closed and breathing even, hands resting overlapped in his lap. “Focus, breathe, we have seen you show great ability in redirecting our magic but we need to see better improvement from your ability to use the magic directly from the source granted to us by nature.”687Please respect copyright.PENANAkawOJ9zz4A

Inhaling a deep breath, pausing, then releasing it slowly Jordon nodded his head gently. In front of Jordon rested a crescent shaped hole with a pathway leading to the center standing pedestal that was hexagon shaped. The hole was hexagon shaped as well and inside this was the crescent shape which held four pits spaced along its curved form. The first Element in the pit was fire, the second held water, the third air, and the last pit held earth.687Please respect copyright.PENANAQWAXZ09Qzk

Sitting on the middle pedestal facing the four Elements, Jordon focused trying to make one of them, at least, respond to him. It wasn’t easy but Areon had more patients than Pyrast with him at the least. The oldest Mage kept his calm eyes on the young man who had grown well and his body showed he hadn’t slacked off in what they had him do. They did test him with magic, yes, but they also had him keep up with exercising and some moving and lifting of weight to ensure his muscles would be able to handle keeping up with his body with magic flowing through him.687Please respect copyright.PENANAlS7yvjFLf9

Magic was a great use but at the same time it was the deadliest thing around for them. If it was misused to show off, innocent people could be hurt or worse, killed. If used properly but overdone then the caster could kill their soul and body. It was no toy or laughing matter. There were those who could use it for show but it took great care to monitor their use of spells and the spells strength.687Please respect copyright.PENANAbpPZuzoiw9

Called through the nature around us into our bodies then projected out in a focused manner is what we do. It is something only a few are able to do. Harnessing and controlling the wild magic all around our world and land is not an easy task. I pray there is no more like him. If there happen to be more like this youth…I fear what may become of Aphelia and of our land. Calling the magic into our bodies can become easy enough, overtime, then once it has entered us it has to be released in a controlled manner.687Please respect copyright.PENANANIRDvjB5IW

Without this control, the magic flowing through the body’s flesh, muscles, heart, and soul with the mind will begin to slowly fail, shutting down till the caster parishes. With this perishing the caster will be forever unable to be reborn in another life. The soul is cast into the darkness of Hell where it might become reborn as a monster if anything at all. A breath escaped the Mage of Air his eyes closing almost as if tired starting to step slowly around the hexagon shaped hole with hands folded behind his back, and eyes set on Jordon.687Please respect copyright.PENANApbGcrIjMdP

I pray this young man is taking in all we are telling him. If he is not then…I fear for his soul. A wild youth with Magic such as him could spell doom for our village and for the land itself. Areon’s thoughts came to a silent quiet, allowing the silent echoes from his shoes to fill his ears taking note of Jordon’s body. Each movement of muscle was clear for his eyes to see as he made his slow circle.687Please respect copyright.PENANAYkcehmIf4V

Jordon’s body was relaxed with small twinges of tensing coming and going with his even breathing. Though his eyes were closed Areon saw the growing frustration of little activity starting to tug at the young man’s brow. “Keep you focus and calm. Rushing will do you no good Jordon. Remember that. Do not forget the rules every student follows here.” Areon’s stern voice brought Jordon’s body to sharply tense before relaxing once more along with his brow and face with a deep inhale then exhale.687Please respect copyright.PENANAWKxc3TFOSS

“Good…very good…keep your mind clear and focused. Hone in on one Element’s energy. Draw upon that, follow its trail and invite it into your body and request its assistance in being used. They may be Magic but even Magic can tell if the person is good or bad.” Or that was what Areon wished to believe and kept his voice sounding sure and as though he was right when he really wasn’t one hundred percent sure if Magic could tell if a person was good or bad.687Please respect copyright.PENANAnbfuZhkl3U
