Two large beasts fought the other, one dawning scales so white they reflected the sun as the other dawn scales so black the light seemed to vanish within their depths. Each glared the other down, the white with sharp clear as a blue sky eyes as the black glared daggers with sights as dark as red blood. The two were in a dimension of darkness like a void yet they were seen in other dimensions as well, as was to be expected from inner-dimensional beings. The people cried out and took shelter as best they could from the devastation. The white tried to reason with the black, roaring out its concerns. The black roared back like a laugh before releasing a powerful flame from its open maw, turning around and in some dimensions, people were slain which allowed it to claim their rising souls into its jaws once the flames ended. Unable to defend the black released a cry as its body began to fall from the air. The white looked at the tears and breaks in the dimensions as well as the destruction in each. It flew up, spun once and held its head up high. Its wings began to glow and a light began to first mend and once more separate the different dimensions. This mending went on, it did not see the black open its red eyes or see it cease its decent. The black took this chance and charged an attack with the majority of power it had in reserve. It released the flames, striking the white hard in the side. This broke the focus of the white, bringing it to cry out in pain. The spell shattered, finishing the major damages before all those left alive dropped into a state of deep sleep. That was all but two that the white dragon saw in one dimension as it fell from the air. They were young and held onto the other. A thought came to the beast since the black was nowhere to be seen nor felt. The white willed its body to vanish, appearing hidden away in darkness surrounded by stone. It closed its eyes and slowed its heart rate and breathing, almost suspending itself to preserve its life but alert enough to be aware of its surroundings while it let its wounds mend. Seeing these orbs the two stood and one lifted their hands up and held the floating orb in awe. The shorter one questioned what they were as the taller one was not sure. Listening they looked to the other and nodded, both accepting the orbs into their bodies. Time passed by as it always does and the people grew to think what they saw was just a dream and not real. One or a few had written story books about the two dragons and none believed they were true except a few. If the few truly did believe was only known by them. Over time when a group would start to gather the black orb had jumped to a new host that held a stronger greed in their heart. The white had withdrawn the two orbs when it had to and found two new hosts. They were at the group for order and peace. A type of training seemed to be happening with one losing as the other was coming back at an older person. Cries for it to stop reached the sound of the orbs that allowed the semi resting white to see and hear the scene. Both were strong but the white held off and observed for a short time. The taller boy looked at the two, listening and although was not sure he accepted one orb as the other entered the shorter boy. The shorter one was passed out and to try helping the taller tried to use healing on his friend. This new magic was great and came out like a wave of green. The shorter boy groaned after being struck as he was healed yet the taller boy seeing his friend holding his head concerned him. Moving to his friend he tried to fix what he did but instead it malfunctioned, causing the shorter boy to pass out asleep. Without knowing exactly how to fix the two spell gone wrong with the magic boost, he picked up his friend and fled to the station. He boarded the transport and would get off at the shorter boy’s home, going inside when allowed by a parent and took his friend to his room to rest. The green magic appeared again as with guilt tugging inside the taller boy managed a spell to stay in place so to, he hoped, allow time to give mending to any wounds from what he did. The parents agreed and the taller boy left, never returning to his friend but did visit time to time to watch and see how the shorter boy was doing. During the time that passed the taller boy started to study more and gain a tighter hold of his magic in hopes if their paths crossed again then he wouldn’t harm the boy again as he had. Tests came and the taller boy in slow aging rose in the ranks by passing tests it was thought he could not. It did not take long before the taller boy figured out another use of his magic, seeing what was beyond the dimensional walls. This also he learned more about the one heading the other group founded, doing as he could in his power to bring their influences to an end to try and restore some light to where he went. The shorter boy had also grown and done well in his classes, excelling and one day when looking through the ads saw a help wanted ad for a job on a renowned train. It was on this faithful day while inside his engine the taller boy would be taking care of minor maintenance before a sight outside the window caught his eye.
