Trust me,

I'm a monster

Like the ones 

You tell children about,

I'm a monster

To the bone. 

Don't try to

Tell me otherwise

Don't try to Tell me, 

I'm good, that I'm

Normal. 

I've got horns, 

In my hair

My words 

Are like acid to hear.

My skin is scaled,

And my body burnt.

But my monstrosity 

Doesn't end there.

I lash out, I hurt 

I cause tears and

I think my conscience 

Abandoned me

Long ago so

Don't try to

Make excuses

Don't try to explain.

I'm a monter

Through and through 

My heart is ice 

And soul is black

I can't hide 

Any bit of

The monter inside

Just don't pretend, 

That I'm 

Like you, clearly

We differ

And don't act 

Like I'm ashamed

Because trust me, 

I've accepted the

Monster that is me
