You and I, reader and writer, are no different. We are human beings, are we not?
I’ve lived a normal life. That is, however you define normal.
I believe that you and I are normal. I believe that you and I, although not sharing the same past, share the same time. I took time to write, you take time to read.
It sounds cheesy, I know, but you are special. I’m special, too. Actually, since all the human beings in the universe are special, that means we’re normal, right? Or do we exceed ‘normal’?
Significant you and significant I, we are essentially the same. We may not have the same views, same gender, same dreams, or same looks, but you and I are human beings, and all human beings are the same: we’re all flawed.
You did something wrong at least once that you regret, and so have I. That is why you are my metaphor, because I have done something wrong that I regret. Yes, if you think about it, we’re the same.
