The damned old mirror

haunts me each day

memories etched in scars

that wont go away

so I cover the mirror

to try and hide my shame

for my body was the canvas

for self harms game

for when i look in the mirror

the past reappears

and it's just a mirror

a thin pane of glass

and it causes heartbreak
