Dear Diary,
My parents are still not home from work. I'm freaking out. They've never been this late before. I'm hungry! So are my little sisters. I can't create anything else to feed ourselves with. I'm so tired and scared. These strange people keep knocking on my door. My sisters and I are hiding in our rooms. All the lights are off as well as the televisions. We're all huddling up in a corner by ourselves. Alone. I can't stand this. Is it true that Friday the 13th is bad luck? Is it worse when its on October? Oh my goodness! I think they're breaking down the door. Mom, dad, please come back soon!
6:30PM
Alright, I think they're gone, but just to make sure, we haven't moved yet. I'm praying to God that we don't die today. I'm honestly not ready! I'm only twelve, this can't be the end. Yeah,yeah, I might sound just a tad dramatic but I dead serious. There was complete silence.
Suddenly, the windows were broken in by these two people and my sisters and I could hear them running towards us. I started to cry as I struggled to keep my three little sisters from screaming or making a noise. The lights flickered on and we stood completely still, we didn't even mover an inch.
"Annabeth? Lisa, Jolene, London?" a familiar voice asked.
We looked up to see our mom standing there. We cried and tackled her with hugs. She laughed.
"Next time, open the door please? I was waiting out there with your father forever. We left the keys! Its freezing outside." she yelled upsettingly.
We all laughed at how upset she was and then FINALLY ate some dinner.
... Maybe bad luck really doesn't exist.
