I jolt awake. As I lay in my bed I start taking deep breaths. I’m shaking all over and I’m sweating but I feel surrounded in ice. Aside from my rapid breathing it’s quiet in my room. I begin to relax but something catches my eye. I snap my attention to my window. The curtains blew softly in the night breeze. My window was open. What? I thought. I never open my window. I start to get a creepy feeling, slowly I turn my head, scanning the dark room. I felt a deep pit form in my stomach when I saw the man standing in the corner. His pale blue eyes were wide with excitement as they stared sharply at me. His raven black hair framed his pale face in a messy manner. He was grinning wildly at me, and as I looked closer I noticed it wasn’t just any grin, he had cut his face into a permanent smile. He was wearing black jeans and boots, over a black undershirt he wore a white blood stained hoodie. But the most terrifying thing was the long blood rusted knife he held in his right hand. I stared in horror at the man, feeling like I couldn’t move. And then he whispered in a low raspy voice, ‘’go to sleep.’’ He charged, knife raised above his head, eyes gleaming with adrenaline and excitement, with a startled shriek I snapped from my horrified trance and scrambled to escape, falling from my bed. I got to my feet, careful not to turn my back on him. He began closing in on me, but I had different plans as I ran and leaped through the open window. I stumbled and almost fell from the jump, but I kept running, I dashed down the street desperately trying to find a crowded area. But it was like two in the morning, so my luck was pretty shriveled. I heard his footfalls close behind, and knew he was gaining on me. I felt sweat on my fore head as I jolted to the right, down main street. I wanted to cry with relief when I saw the bar just ahead, booming with music, full and alive. Then I was hit. He had hurled himself at me and knocked me down with enough force that we rolled along the pavement. I let out a small cry of pain when I collided with the road. After a small struggle on the ground we heard, ‘’hey, what are you two doin’’ we both look up to see a man come out of the bar. He was tall, masculine, and bald. I looked over at my attacker and noticed that he had managed to hide the knife in his hoodie pocket and was keeping his head down so the man could not see his face. Baldy stared at us questioningly, ‘’it’s late, you two shouldn’t be out here.’’ he fallowed up. I opened my mouth to tell the man everything, but hoodie boy beat me to it, ‘no sir…”he said in a husky voice.”… It’s you who shouldn’t be out here.” And with that he pulled out the knife and charged the man. The guy didn’t have enough time to even scream before hoodie boy had sliced his stomach open. I watched in horror as the man’s intestines spilled from his open stomach, the man groaned in agony as he took his final breath. I covered my mouth to keep from screaming as hoodie boy turned back to me, his grin widening in sheer joy as he took in the expression on my face. “Now, where were we?” he chuckled darkly as he fed off my fear, twirling the blood covered knife in his hand. I took my chance and charged in through the bars entrance before he could even register the action. As I burst through the doors I was greeted by the smells of body odor, cheep perfume, and alcohol. I pushed my way through the crowd of people, frantically trying to find someone who seemed even close to sober. I was also hoping that I could lose my attacker in the crowd. In my scramble I stumbled across the restrooms. At first I thought ‘maybe he won’t go into the girls room’ but right after I thought it I noticed how ridicules it sounded. I have seen him; I already know to much, the women’s restroom is not going to stop him from keeping his murderous secret. Plus he would expect me to go in there. So I quietly slipped into the men’s room, and instantly dart to the stall at the back of the room.  Quickly I lock myself in and attempt to catch my breath. I dig my nails into the palm of my hands and try to stop shaking. After what seemed like roughly 15 minutes I hear the door swoosh open, followed by the sound of footsteps. I peeked under the stall, my breath catches as I stair in horror at the pair of black combat boots that signaled hoodie boy had found my hiding place. I could hear him kicking open stalls, starting with the one at the front of the room he worked his way down the line. I desperately searched the stall looking for any chance of escape. That’s when I saw the tiny window. A gleam of hope fluttered in my thoughts when I spotted it, but that gleam started to darken when I noticed how small the window was. The damn thing was only about 1.5 by 2 ft. I cringe as the stall only three stalls from mine crashes open. “Don’t be scared…” I heard him coo in a rough voice.” I will make it quick and painless if you come out now” he says in darkly. I pull my sleeve over my fist and thrust it at the window with all of my strength.  At the sound of the glass shattering I heard hoodie boy sprint to my stall. I quickly hoisted myself up to the high set window and began to restlessly squirm my way through the small frame; I felt the excess glass puncturing my sides and stomach. He was kicking at my door now and the hinges creaked in protest. I began helplessly scratching at the concrete wall on the outside of the building, when I heard the door give way and felt his strong hands grasp my ankle. I knew I was done for, he was obviously stronger than me and I was already badly injured. Then without thinking I threw my leg out behind me and felt it collide strongly with his face, I heard him growl in anger and pain as he released my leg in surprise. I managed to then wiggle the rest of my body through the window, and I fell hard, hitting the gravel that awaited me outside. I shot up and scrambled down an alley way as fast as my legs would carry me. Checking behind me every few seconds I ran to the end of the alley. Yes it was fairly deep, but it had an end!  The ground was littered with cigarette butts and garbage to my right there was a large green dumpster covered in dirt and mold. I decided to hide in the gap between the building causing the end to the ally and the old dumpster. I wedged myself as far into my hiding place as possible and began waiting for daylight. I know waiting for daytime will take a while, but there is a murder out there so I’m not taking any chances. After roughly 15 to 20 minutes I heard the crunching of gravel at the end of the alley way, warning me that someone was passing by. I held my breath and waited for the footsteps to disappear into the night. But then they stopped. A hot feeling passed over me as they hesitantly made their way into my alley way. I began to feel like I wasn’t scrunched far back enough into my hiding place and that theory worried me because if I moved to do so he would hear me. I began to panic as the footsteps moved closer to my hiding place. Then I saw him. Hoodie boy walked only about 5 ft from my hiding place, examining the wall as though checking for a way to climb it… for me to climb it. Finally he turned and began walking to the mouth of the alley when I made the biggest mistake of my life; I released a shaky breath of relief. His footsteps halted at the noise, I could hear him turn on his heels. Suddenly he began to laugh, it was a dark and sinister sound. I decided that my best and only shot is if I dart from my hiding place and attempt to run past him before he can register the action. I count down to three in my head then I quickly stand up and begin to run from my hiding place when I collide with something, I  slam into the object with enough force that I fell down.  I hit the ground with a surprised *oomph*. And looked up in terror as I realize I had just run into the killer. I scramble back away from him, when I bumped the wall I stand and start frantically trying to find a way to climb the wall., all the while I can hear him closing in on me. I turn towards him, and begin to take in the fact that I’m trapped. That’s all I could think was that I’m going to die, in other words they lied about that whole your life flashes before your eyes crap. All that was flashing in my mind was hoodie boy slitting my throat and a shitty gravestone with my name on it. Soon he is standing so close that there is hardly any room between us. I whimper as he fixates a cold stair on my face. He planted his left hand on the wall next to my head. “Now…” he said “now you go to sleep” he finished as he plunged the knife into my gut. I gasped in surprise and pain. “You shouldn’t have run.” He says, a gleam of amusement shining in his wide eyes. I felt tears streaming down my cheeks as my blood sept through my sweat shirt. Then with a quick flick of his wrist he turned the blade. I screamed in agony as my flesh and organs churned with the knives horrific movement.  I was taking quick short breaths, desperately fighting to stay alive. He moved his head next to mine, his hair brushed the side of my face as he whispered in my ear “ I am Jeff the killer” then I began to go limp, and the last thing I saw before plunging into the oblivion of death was Jeff’s grinning face.641Please respect copyright.ＰＥＮＡＮＡIewJOdTMMV
