After more training, I met with the mage afterwards for magic tutoring. She's taught me essential defense magic first, and I appreciate that. 

In terms of battles though, nothing much hasbeen achieved. The captain seems to be testing our strength and skill by the use of duels, but I have not won a terribly grand amount. 

The captain is making sure that on is well prepared for the off-chance that this war will last long. I respect that.
