Angel Eyes - Chapter 1

This is the beginning of the start of a story, the story of Jason. This isn't the greatest story, but it's a story nonetheless. I have found a pen, I know how to write, and this is what will come of it. This story will be written, and I will be the one to write it. I swear to the Most high, that if I don't, I may actually go crazy.

Now mind you, I am not Jason, but you could probably already tell that by the fact I am referring to him in what you people might call "Third person", but he is the focal point of this story, not me, his life is leaps and bounds over anything that I experienced, or would ever experience.

Mind you that I didn't say life in reference to myself, that was a deliberate choice of words. It is a choice of words that once chosen, change the perception of the narrator, me, and possibly the reliability of my narration. Am I reliable? Yes, I am very much reliable.

What's my relation to Mr. Jason Tally? It's closer than you could ever imagine. Unless if course you read the title of this book, then you know perfectly well what I am. Since I am sure you have read the title, as you are literate enough to have chosen this book, (if this is a book at this time, and not a torn page blowing through the wind, which it very well may) I will choose not to give you the satisfaction of saying it. I know what I am and so do you, if you require me to shout it out in the open, than I have misjudged my assumption of human intellect, and you can go back to your "personal media" and your "gadgets". Besides, I don't even like the word, its too formal, too impersonal. I prefer the word "Raz". This may be because it is my name, but for clarity of description, those of my persuasion prefer to be called "Watchers". Which is my way of playing what you humans call "The pronoun game".

Where are my manners? I've gone on an unnecessary tangent speaking about my boring existence. The reason I'm writing is due to the fact that Jason is no longer with us. I know that we are to give account of what they did in their life to persuade them safe passage to the afterlife. Something that Mr. Jason Tally needs very much for reasons I'll be explaining through this discourse. The reason I'm writing it is partially a warning to others, and partially to deal with the emotion I thought long deal from his loss in this world. Was it joy that he is gone, panic on where he will be, relief that this wild ride is over, sadness that he had no more time to get it right?

I would like to choose option C, all of the above. I am writing this to persuade mortals agains't his action and my superiors that I fully support what he has done, so as such, I will be walking this thin line very carefully, so brace yourself for the real story of Jason, the real hero of the story.
