The Last Gods - Ch 15

Arrea- “*Waking Up*”

Arrea- “*Yawn*”

Arrea- “*Smiles and strokes Mila’s hair.*”

Arrea- “Time to wake up Aur-Mila.”

Mila- “*Stirring and wakes up*”

Mila- “Good mourning Arrea.”

I pick Mila up and carefully bring her down from the tree.

Arrea- “Alight, you slept with me time to go back to your mother.”

Mila- “Awww, really?”

Arrea- “Yes, I have to catch with my f-f-friends.”

Mila- “Oookay, see you later Arrea.”

Arrea- “*Waves bye*”

Arrea- “….”

Arrea- “Maybe I can convince Moryuu to not kill ALL the human in this village.”

I enter the village looking for either Dullahan or Moryuu. They should have found enough information about the God of the island and are getting ready to kill everyone, I can’t let that happen.

Eventually I ran into Moryuu outside the village sitting on a tree branch looking at something, a pocket watch I think.

Moryuu- “Oh, Arrea coming to see me. I’m flattered. *Putting away his item*”

Arrea- “Don’t be, I have a-”

Moryuu- “Dullahan told me what he found out about the God, his name is Gremmy. A child rain god.”

Moryuu- “He is the last god and thankfully he shouldn't be a problem. We can finally lay this campaign to rest.”

Arrea- “I don’t care about that! I’m asking you not to kill the humans in this village.”

Moryuu- “!”

Moryuu- “That’s surprising, I’m guessing it’s because of the kid.”

Moryuu- “*Stands up and looks straight at Arrea*”

Moryuu- “I’m sorry, I promise to make it quick.”

Arrea- “What wait a-”

*Moryuu raised his hands and from a cloudy sky several lightning bolts struck everyone in the village, instantly ending most of their lives.*

Arrea- “What have you-”

Moryuu- “Even if I let them live, once we kill the God they would attempt to fight us and die painfully or die of despair at the loss of their king. This was the best ending.”

Arrea- “Damn it!”

I ran into the village. I ran across and through the corpses, hoping to find her.

I ran and ran until I found her in the middle of one of the paths on the way to our mother.

Arrea- “Aurora!!”

Aurora?- “….”

I ran and grasped her small body in my hands.

Arrea- “Kate! I’m sorry I should have protected you.”

Arrea- “I failed you Aurora….”

As I am crying out, I feel a hand on my face and I look down.

Aurora, Kate who are-

~~Mila~~ - “W-was I their replacement?”

Arrea- “….”

Mila….

Arrea- “I’m sorry Mila….”

Arrea- “I neglected you both.”

Mila- “I’m sorry too, I guess we both used the other.”

Arrea- “?”

Mila- “You were just the replacement for my sister at first, but after awhile I began to care for you as you Arrea. Your not a replacement Arrea.”

Mila- “I-I hope you felt the same way.”

Arrea- “*Weeping* I did Mila, I did! I’m so sorry.”

Arrea- “*Flips around* You!!”

Moryuu- “Time for us to move on.”

Arrea- “What the fuck is wrong with you, this was a child! Mila, Aurora….

Arrea- “You call us monsters but you’re all the true monster here!”

Moryuu- “The difference between our monsters and yours is that yours can level buildings while we can’t even break a wall.”

Arrea- “What does that have to do with the children I have to bury!”

Moryuu- “Better of two evils.”

Arrea- “!!!”

Arrea- “*Charges to attack Moryuu after putting down Mila* AHHHH!!”

*Clash*

Moryuu- “….”

Arrea- “!”

Arrea- “Why?”

Arrea- “Dullahan!”

Dullahan- “….”

Dullahan- “Stop Arrea.”

Arrea- “No! Not after what that, thing, did to Mila and what his people did to Aurora. I don’t care if I’m on the run, I’m killing at least him!”

Dullahan- “I can’t let you do that.”

Arrea- “Out of my way!”

Dullahan pushed me back with his sword and takes a battle stance.

Moryuu- “….”

Arrea- “Why are you even on his side, aren’t you tired of killing our own people for our slavers!”

Dullahan- “That’s why I’m doing this.”

Arrea- “What?”

Dullahan- “I am tired, I’m tired of all of this. Once we kill the last god, everything will be over. None of our people have to suffer or run anymore because they will all be gone from this world.”

Arrea- “….”

Arrea- “You’ve lost it.”

Dullahan- “Does it matter, we’re all dead it anyway.”

Arrea- “If I have to kill you to get to him then so be it.”

Asthe first rain drop fell, we dashed towards each other.

I must end this quick.

Arrea and Dullahan- “*Jumps back in surprise*”

Moryuu- “!”

Before we clashed a blast flame came between us and the source was Albeis.

Albeis- “I don’t care what’s happening here but Hashi needs your help, he needs Kirin.”

Arrea- “Hashi? What about Kate?”

Albeis- “She is with him.”

Dullahan- “….”

Dullahan- “Kirin!”

Kirin came out of nowhere and then Dullahan mounted him.

Dullahan- “I suggest we finished this later.”

Arrea- “But Mor-”

Arrea- “!”

Arrea- “His gone!?”

Dullahan- “Arrea!”

Arrea- “!”

Dullahan- “Come on, Hashi needs us. He saved your life, it’s time to repay him.”

Arrea- “….”
