She gets up and brings the book over to him. "I found Grammy's journal, I think." She carefully flips open the cover to the first page.

I met a man today. Tall, handsome, smart...But he's also a smidge old. He's 27, so 11 years older than myself, but I've never quite met a man like him before. He has got this real funny accent, European I think or something. It's cruel of me, I know, but it made me giggle when he spoke.

Then I accidentally told him I am only 16. He nearly left me then, but for some odd reason he never did. We talked a few more hours before he paid for my meal and walked me most of the way home. "I don't know, but I sure as bloody heck am not finding out." Kenny pushes the book into his hands and shuts the chest. "You can if you want. I prefer to keep an innocent memory of Granddad and not have to look at Grammy any more oddly than I already do."
