Monica's POV
I wish I had my own darn car so I wouldn't have to call people to pick me up or drop me off at places. The one thing my parents won't give me. I mean, I would arrive at school earlier, showing off my new car to all of the students. I would be able to go anywhere I want, anytime I want and just be free without hearing, "Sorry, I'm busy..." or, "I can't...sorry" all the time. I didn't really worry about the car because my main focus was on my outfit for Winter Ball and Graduation Prom....and my grades.
James came in a few minutes and we greeted each other. This time the car ride wasn't that silent. James played music and I decided to sing my heart out. "Jeez, why is your voice louder than the music?" James asked laughing. "Hey, I love singing..." I replied proudly. We got to my house and were both shocked to see my house covered with tissue paper. James looked confused, but I smirked twirling my fingers around each other. "Thanks for the ride, James." I said, getting out of the car. "Always happy to help." he replied. He drove off and I sighed while staring at my decorated house. They do this a lot to my neighborhood, so I wasn't affected by it. I snapped my fingers, and ta-da, the tissue was gone.
I went into my house and turned on the TV. The news was on and the topic was Kiana's accident. The other driver was my Science class's nerd, Ryan Reid. I know this because Kiana writes the school newspaper, so she knows everyone. Ryan was a decent, moralistic and smart boy, so it was really Kiana's fault why the accident happened. Ryan and I didn't really have a strong connection, but we talked a lot. He has a really great personality beneath that geek person. I should have known he was a part of the accident since I didn't see him in Science class. He always has a perfect attendance it's now ruined my Kiana, and me partially. Right after the news, a message came in from Ryan himself. I was surprised since he wouldn't be able to text with such bad injury. I turned on my phone and said, "I bet it's his mom," since I know that Ryan will just invite you to his party face to face. The message read:
You are invited to Ryan's birthday party. You have received this invite because you are one of his well- known friends. It would be nice if you made a contribution to help pay his hospital bill.I hope you can make it.
"Typical mothers..." I said and shut off my phone. I turned off the TV and went to my room. I looked at my ruby jar of love and put on my heart-covered onesie. I tucked myself in and went to sleep.
Don't judge me for wearing a onesie. We all act older or younger than our age.

"WAKE UP MONICA!!!" I heard a masculine voice shout as they shook me like crazy. "Ok! Ok!" I responded getting up instantly, rubbing my eyes. When I was fully awake, I saw James standing in front of my bed. "Ahhhh!!! What the heck are you doing here?!?!" I screamed leaning back on my bed. James just laughed and replied, "I'm supposed to tutor you.....you are one deep sleeper." Then was the moment I realized I did not remember about studying. "Oh...yeah...Umm...I'll meet you downstairs in a few." I said mumbling. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and I didn't even think about changing out of my pajamas. After all, it is my house. I washed my face and saw James looking around with once again, approx. 30 books stacked on my table. "Why do we have to study so much?" I groaned after my 4th book. James sighed and replied, "For the 186th time, we're studying to better your grades." I took up another book and thought about if James was actually counting up my complaints.

"What the heck? I don't even remember what x is!" I yelled with frustration. It felt the millionth time doing this equation, and I still couldn't find the answer. "Monica, x is 20. The x is at the top of the page." James replied, indicating the obvious 20. I slapped myself in the face and worked out the problem correctly.
After half an hour...
"Finally!!! We're half way there!!" I shouted, slouching in my couch as I heard my stomach rumble. "Want something to eat?" I asked James as I walked to my kitchen. "A donut please." he ordered politely. I went to my fridge to get fried chicken and reheat it, then went to my cupboard and took out a box of donuts. "Have as many as you like." I said, giving James the box. He took it and said thanks.
I was surprised he didn't ask me about my parents. I'm grateful he isn't. I don't think he'd want to listen to my unbelievable story about my human clone parents abandoning me at 13. Maybe he would think I'm insane. "Do we have to study more? Can't we just leave some for tomorrow?" I begged, putting my chicken in a plate. I went to sit beside James and almost dropped my plate when I saw my almost empty donut box. "I didn't mean eat everything..." I said shocked. "Sorry," he apologized, "I haven't ate something sweet in a long time." I rolled my eyes and hurriedly at my chicken. I said to James, "The only reason I'm eating like this....I'm starving." James responded with a raised eyebrow, "I can see..." I ate one of the last donuts in the box and sighed as I took up my 16th book.

"Isn't that part of the triangle 90º?" I asked confused. "No Monica. The only way it can be 90º is if it has a little square where the lines meet." James explained pointing at figures. I was actually amazed by how we worked. He wasn't as impatient as I thought, and he explained thoroughly enough for me to understand. In the next 15 minutes, we would be finished with my last book.

Kiana's POV
Saturday is a day when everyone relaxes and does whatever dumb thing they want. What am I doing? I'm sitting on a hospital bed eating cereal. I am pretty sure Monica is having more fun than me, most likely with James. As soon as I thought about it, she called me. "Hey!" she said happily, yet sounding extremely tired. "Did you not sleep last night?" I asked, being the concerned best friend I was. "I got a little rest, but I woke up with James at my bed shaking my crazily." she replied giggling. I was silent for a while. What was he doing at her house? What did they do? Was Monica even wearing any clothes?
Using her best friend telepathy, she said, "Kiana, we didn't do anything. He was just dealing with my bad math skills." I mentally took a breath of relief and said, "Ok, I guess I'll let you guys continue. You really need the help." We both laughed and she said teasing, "Oh shut up. I just went through a million years, donuts and a bunch of chicken. I really don't need any more pressure." When she said that,I remembered what I dreamt about last night. I thought for a while on whether I should tell Monica about it or not.
Monica is my only support. Telling her might easily stress and lower my chances of dying. I didn't want to keep this a secret from her either. "Hey Mon, I get something to tell you." I said shakily. She replied, "You can tell me-" Then, an unknown number called my phone. I put Monica on hold and answered. "Uhh, hello?" I said confused. "Hi I'm Anonymous. You don't me, but I kinda know everything about you." the voice said. Who the heck is this Anonymous person? She continued, "You know you aren't sure about telling Monica your dreams, so don't. When you feel ready, you tell. Well, see ya!" Before I could even respond, she hung up. "Who was that?" Monica asked. I responded, "My mom. She was just checking up on me. By the way, I just called to tell you my arm will heal soon. Ok, bye now!" And with that, I hung up the phone.
Monica's POV
"Kiana? Uhh, hello?" I said. She hung up the call. I wonder why she left in such a hurry. I shrugged my shoulders and went to James. "So, how good am I in Math now?" I asked. "Eh, not as perfect as I wanted, but good enough." he said smiling. "Ok, what do we do now?" I said. We both sat and thought in silence. "You could help me bring these books back home and then we could get pizza." James said slightly smiling. I nodded and brought the books to James' car, then we drove to his house, not that far away from mine.
