Keep in mind our paths are different to each other

And only some are lucky enough to get another.

What keeps them away from what they deserve instead?

What makes them think the deserve

Anything less than the halo adorning their head?

What pushed them to the point of reserve?

Keep in mind that we all have some self-worth

That could she shattered by the cruelty of the earth.

Does heaven still shed tears for those lost?

Does anyone notice when they’re gone

Keep in mind that all of the things that keep us in a bond

Are what keep some in a state of abscond.

What keeps their pockets so empty?

Why do they cower behind crossed arms

That should be embracing their life away from the city?

What is it that causes them such harms?

Keep in mind that the things that keep our wallets light

Are the reasons that cause so many to lose sight.

What makes them discard their shelter?

What makes them give up on their measly umbrellas of protection
