The beat of wood against plastic,

Brings me joy when played by you,

I’ll smile and blush and pretend I’m all okay,

But I’d just want to say,

“Hey,

I know this is awkward but you’re an amazing drummer. “

But I just can’t

Not that I don’t want to,

Hell, I wish I could be friends with you

But I don’t know what to say when I’m with you

It’s not just that I don’t know you,

But I’m literally too shy to compliment you at all

So throw me a bone and just watch it hit the wall.

Cause I really want to, but I just can’t say anything;
