元朝，是中國史上包含了最多元族人文化的時代，雖然只是短短的八十九年，但卻因為這種動蕩的時代，孕育出無數英雄。

南宋末年開始，《道德真經》為最高武學典籍一說開始流傳江湖，令各大門派掀起紛爭，一方面說自己的武術均是自創，沒有配合《道德真經》背後隱藏的內功修法，另一方面又想得到《道德真經》全書，將自身的武功提昇另一個層次。

再加上元朝動蕩的局勢，造就了一班亂世英雄橫空出現，從自身到國家，展開一場不足百年的明爭暗鬥野史。
