Guys, guys, guys. Let's all agree there are cats in the Warriors series who deserved to go to the dark forest. You know, the dark, endless forest with no prey, no light, and no way out. Sounds a bit like a certain place believed in that is in some American culture, minus the flames and Satan. I'm borrowing one or two ideas from Drakinator(Check out their Youtube Channel, it's awesome) but the rest of it are my own thoughts. This also isn't in order, either chronologically or by who should have least to most. I am also only going to include cats who are dead. (Note, this was written while i was reading A vision of shadows and had recently completed it.)
To start off, I am going to include Ashfur. The second one, not the first one. Power of the three and Omen of the stars spoilers here. Let's just pause a moment and have a small roleplay session. Imagine you're Ashfur. You are a loyal tom who is completely in love with Squirrelflight, Firestar's daughter and a feisty, amazing cat. She passes you over in favor of Brambleclaw. What do you do? Well, I hope not what Ashfur did, which is attempt to murder her three kits to punish her for breaking his heart, and planning to use the information they aren't her kits to get her exiled. Another little roleplay. A shifty lowlife RiverClan warrior named Hawkfrost asks you to help murder your leader. Hopefully you didn't choose to agree to the plot and help the RiverClan warrior in a plot that could have taken the rest of his lives, and the same plot that took one of his lives the next morning and caused Firestar to have been on his ninth life in the battle against the Dark Forest and leave the most reactive character in history to lead ThunderClan. Hawkfrost, sure, he was a bad guy and abused his sister, but he didnt kill anyone or anything. "But wait, Wolfsnag!" I hear you say. "But you just said that the plot Hawkfrost put together took one of Firestar's lives." Yes, yes I did. But I did also say that he didnt lose that life until the following morning, and Ashfur was part of that plot. With the logic that landed Hawkfrost in the Dark Forest, Ashfur should have gone, too. Of course, considering the logic he wasn't evil enough and he had never felt a grudge for more than one cat, there may be some logic to his appearance in StarClan.
As a second note, let's talk about Ravenwing. Anyone remember him? Cat who received the omen that Mapleshade's kits didn't belong and got her exiled? Mapleshade murdered him first and had an eagle eat his corpse? Yeah, the medicine cat of ThunderClan when Oakstar was alive. Let's pretend you're Ravenwing. You get an omen, and interpret it as the fact Mapleshade's two moon old kits did not belong in ThunderClan. You tell Mapleshade that you know her kits are halfclan. What do you do next? I hope that it isn't what Ravenwing did, which is announce it to the Clan and get her and her three kits exiled. Mapleshade's kits did nothing wrong! I understand exiling Mapleshade, but her kits had no reason to die! Ravenwing helped kill three kits(more about the "help" part later) and he deserved to die and get eaten by an eagle. He didn't feel any remorse for what happened to Mapleshade, didn't even try to keep the kits in ThunderClan. He probably was thinking, "All the more pure blood in the Clan." ThunderClan needed more warriors and had only one apprentice and no queens. Just look at the allegiances for ThunderClan in the book!

See what I mean? What Ravenwing did hurt more that Mapleshade and her three kits, he got two other cats killed(Mapleshade killed him, Appledusk, and Frecklewish.) and he brought down the wrath of Mapleshade, getting more cats than Ravenwing would ever dream of hurt. The long term effects of his actions should have landed him in the dark forest.
Now let's talk about Oakstar. One of the things ThunderC;an did under his rule, was to descend into Twolegplace with war parties to scare Kittypets so much they would never enter the forest. The kittypets became buffer, ready to fight if they needed to. Hand on to that info for a minute. When the information came out that Mapleshade's kits were halfclan, he exiled Mapleshade and her two moon old kits. I'm just going to revisit a point from earlier, because MAPLESHADE'S KITS DID NOTHING WRONG. Exiling Mapleshade made sense, she broke the warrior code, she betrayed ThunderClan in a way, but the kits were referred to as"halfclan creatures"and didn't deserve to be warriors. When Mapleshade got exiled, she and her kits had to go somewhere. ShadowClan and WindClan surely wouldn't accept Mapleshade. They had no reason to. There were only two places to go. Twolegplace and RiverClan. You know who knew that? Mapleshade. You know who also knew that? Oakstar. He exiled Mapleshade and three young kits. Knowing it was the middle of the night. . Knowing, that since ThunderClan had been attacking kittypets, they were buff, powerful, and ready to fight or even kill. Knowing Twolegplace was no place for a mother and kits that weren't even weaned from their mother's milk. Knowing the only place to go was RiverClan. You know what else he knew? It was flood season. He was the one who killed three kits, started Mapleshade on the path to murder and becoming a serial killer, knowing what he was doing was wrong. How this horrible leader got into StarClan is far beyond me. 1337Please respect copyright.PENANAQbzVXsH95K
How about we talk a little about Rainflower? Rainflower, Crookedstar's mother, emotional abuser and more shallow than the waters RIverClan kits practice swimming in. When her son broke his jaw, she cruelly renamed him Crookedkit. Do I really have to say anything more about her? She was cruel to her son and emotionally abused him. 1337Please respect copyright.PENANAoOU0RpEUAr
How about another cat? Anyone want to guess? Give up? How about Ripplestar? I'll give some background info for those of you who don't know. Ripplestar attacked all the four Clans at a gathering. Yes, this was before the part of the warrior code but it was morally wrong. Don't tell me that this was before the warrior code. He tried to brutally harm the other four Clans, within which were elders, apprentices, and queens. Ripplestar did a cowardly move and he tried to make sure they were hurt. Thank goodness StarClan struck him down. He was described as battle-loving and bloodthirsty. Sound like any cat?1337Please respect copyright.PENANAQKjo0ibOnK
Before I sign out, how about we talk about a certain cat. Any guesses anyone? If you guessed Mudclaw, the former deputy of WindClan, you guessed right. Now, the subject of Mudclaw is a sore subject. I believe that Mudclaw should have gone to the Dark Forest. Mudclaw went against his leader's orders, for one. The word of a leader is the warrior code. He hurt so many cats in his quest for leadership. In the code of the Clans, a warrior cats guide, Tallstar said he had a vision of Mudclaw, now Mudstar, looking over his Clan as cats bled out on the grass and wailed. Tallstar couldn't see who had died or what had happened, but he could see everyone had suffered a terrible loss. Mudclaw was a horrible cat and does not deserve the ranks of StarClan.1337Please respect copyright.PENANAhcX7zXLv4F
