You now understand it was never meant to be perfect. Nothing ever is. It would never have happened the way you imagined, you dreamer. After being buoyed all this time with your feet barely brushing the tops of clouds, you sit cross-legged in stinging rain. Everything was your pencil sketch, then your oil painting, an elaborate imagination where everything turned out as it should.
