Spinning round and round

echo's in a cacophony

at every turn

the clock constant

ticking further and further

the song of one's life.

The song of one's end

starts faintly

the sweetest of voices

with the haunting melody

the gears of fate

intertwined in infinity

spinning slowly,

crashing and grinding

melodies collide

making sweet dissonance

the screams echo louder

the ringing grows

to a din.

one drop

one million ripples

the minor chord

resonates deeper

than any major fifth

one more gear interlocks

the final one

to stop the turn

to blind the light

grinding to a slow halt

the swan song fades

the ceaseless noise

finally silent.
