A tall teenage boy was walking out of the dull looking school house. His dark chestnut brown hair was falling on his thin stormy grey almond eyes. Button nose and thin lips suited his probe face. The boy was wearing blue jeans, a grey v-neck and a black jacket. Soon it would be too chilly to wear clothes like that but right now they fitted perfectly.

He made his way to the bus stop. Just in time too. Seeing as the bus was almost there. During the afternoon it was common for the bus to be packed. There here were mostly students heading home from school but also some adults.

He boarded it, found a place to stand without being crushed and looked around. "Zack," A girl his age called out making her way to him. Her colored light blond hair had red stripes in it and she was wearing a heck load of makeup - mascara, eye shadow, eyeliner, blush, lipstick. In a word - everything you could think of. She had a flirtatious smile on her face and she was twirling her hair. "Are classes over," Zack just nodded. Blocking out the rest of her talk and only nodding occasionally he starred out of a window into the distance for the rest of the ride. Mary was just one of his neighbors. She had always acted this way around him. Tried to flirt with him. But the truth was - Zack really didn't care for her.

He was glad to escape her when he finally walked through the front door of his home. The boy lived in a three bedroom private house. The living room and kitchen were connected and you could see into both of them from the corridor which is where the front door lead.

On the living room couch was lying and reading a book a twelve year old boy. He had caramel colored hair and light brown eyes. The kid looked up from his reading when he heard someone coming through the door. Seeing who it was he jumped up from the comfy sofa. "Zach, you are never going to believe this," he had forgotten the hello and this was what he excitedly announced to his brother who at the moment was putting his schoolbag onto the floor. "What is it, Alex?" he didn't sound that curious.

"I was coming home from school, okay" Alex was explaining, "when I found this book," He said picking up a quite small old looking leather book from the couch. "That's all," the older boy wasn't impressed. "You have quite a few books in your room." That was a under statement seeing as the little brother was quite a bookworm.

"No, read it," Alex didn't give up. He practically shoved it into Zach's face. The elder brother, feeling annoyed threw it onto the coffee table in front of the TV. "It's just an old book. Just leave it."

"No, no," Alex protested picking up the book again and following his brother into the kitchen. "It's a wizard's diary," Zach was just getting some food from the fridge when he heard the answer. He shut the door with a bang. "You're out of your mind. Wizards don't exist."

"Well this one did." Alex's eyes were sparkling. "He enchanted his soul and diary into one to get his non magical daughter away from all the fighting in Ekolia - that's the land he came from but she.."

"Alex this is just a bunch of made up stories. A place called Ekolia doesn't even exist." Zack cut in.

"Not in this universe. It's a parallel world to ours. He explains it all right here. Look," Alex placed it into Zach's hands and stood next to him. "Take a look," Zach rolled his eyes and grudgingly opened the book on a random page.

Then something strange happened. In less than a second the boys and the book had vanished from the room.
