The only thing she remembered was the sensation. The calmness. The silence. The peace. But most of all, the dark. 

It seemed to slowly close in around her as she tried to breathe, tried to fight it.

She looked at the bright lamp. The last light she would ever see. And it was deathly white. Just like her.
