Normal’s who struggle to accept the Prohibited into society are now being forced to take sides. As communities, globally, begin to embrace the Prohibited, the Normals dedicated to eradicating them, must take swift and lethal action. But, as the Prohibited gain in numbers and supporters, the Normal’s fight becomes more difficult and deadlier.
Eighty-five years ago, Genevieve, the first born Prohibited with golden eyes and the selfless power of protection was born. She would be the first of many inherently good Prohibited. Facing danger, discrimination and the fear of death by Normals, her family took her into hiding. Her fate remained unknown. Sixty-three years later, Violet, the first Prohibited with violet eyes and the additional gift of self-protection was born. She was different from other Prohibited, but she was a Prohibited none the less. Her journey would be one of fighting for the rights and lives of all Prohibited. After decades of kidnappings, wrongful convictions, and experimentation of her people, Violet is chosen to end their plight. Violet coordinates rescue of captured Prohibited, helps to create laws of protection for her kind, and gives others the confidence to make their voices heard. As her journey continues and she is made aware of her own fate, she is faced with insecurities and fears that are not inherent in Prohibited. Violet is loved and respected by many but if she is not able to contain her negative impulses she could damage their cause. As she discovers new powers and the fate of Genevieve, she must not only fight the Normals who want to extinguish the Prohibited’s existence, she finds her internal battles to be the hardest to overcome. As she maneuvers through a realm of strength and power, she discovers a new form of Prohibited that may well destroy any hope for a peaceful existence.
