在不久的未來，一個獨裁的政府正統領着整個地球。不少人民都在坎坷的環境中死去，導致大量居民向其他星球謀求生路，儘管這代表著很容易的死亡……

駱茂誕生在這種環境下，不出三個月已經幾近死亡。他的父母痛心疾首，想法弄來一個冷凍艙，把他的生命保留下來。對於駱茂來說，時間的停頓已足夠讓他的身體接受適當的治療，他逃過了一劫。
