I originally started writing Fragments as a Norwegian story called Bruddstykker. It was going to be my NaNoWriMo project, but I changed my mind as I started outlining it. I just wanted to start writing it.
I don't know whether I will finish this story or not. Fragments is, in my mind at least, such a complex universe, and I don't know if I've developed enough as a writer to fully explore it.

Just a quick introduction of the premise:
Somewhere in the future, Scandinavia has become one country. A country that is severely segregated based on wealth. The rich and the poor live in two completely different worlds. The poor live to serve, pleasure and entertain the richos. On the top of the pyramid we find the city council members. They are the ones in charge of each city.
Arabella is a poor girl from the Breakwater outside of Stjørdal, a city in the province of Norway. Because of her boyfriend, Fanden, who is a city council member, she lives the rich life. Kenneth Nikos is a rich boy from the suburbs of Stjørdal. He lives the poor lifestyle even though he is a member of the city council.
When Arabella and Kenneth's paths cross, they get a deeper understanding for the society.
The story is heavily influenced by my favourite band, Kaizers Orchestra (I would recommend them, but the sing in Norwegian, so I guess there is no point). It's steampunk-ish and dark.

Planning the story and the future
As I wrote earlier, I'm not sure if I'm going to finish this. It's a lot of intensive planning that's going into the making of this story. Way more than I actually have time to do. As I writer I'm always trying to do my best.
At the written moment I'm trying to focus on Document9 and my NaNoWriMo project (I'll try to post on Penana daily). But I'm still excited for this project. I just don't know to what degree I will prioritise it.
