In this blog post I just want to tell you about my inspiration for writing Document9 and the future of the project.
So, Document 9 (or doc9 as I like to call it) is a dark suspense-crime adventure set in some random city in the world. After a shooting at a petrol station the police has no idea about the motives of the culprit. Onila, our main character, is working at the petrol station as it happens. The inspiration
The deep web is the part of the Internet that isn't indexed by standard search engines. You need a software such as Tor to get to this content. There are many horror stories of weird and questionable porn, gore, abuse, snuff films, live Russian roulette, and people that can find all of your information. Much of this is probably true, but most is false. When I was on the deep web, all i could find was some sites that sold drugs as well as a lot of weird blogs and videos.
The deep web in the story is more based on the shadow web/dark web. Whether this really exists or not, I'm not entirely sure of. If you want to know more about the shadow web, click THIS link.
The stories from the deep web fascinated me. I wanted more people to know about this weird place where there were no rules.
Characters
Onila Kathryn Jenkins is the protagonist of Document9. She's a music major in university and she's very much driven by her curiosity. She's a nineteen year old white brunette (not that race and ethnicity really matters, but I just thought I'd let you know), and on her spare time she enjoys sewing and making music. Her boyfriend is Chris. She gets uncomfortable around cars, especially driving with people she doesn't trust. That's why she usually rides her scooter around.
Scott Winchester is one of the main characters. He's a twenty-one year old police officer, who's on his first major case. He's a tall red-head. Scott is very focused on his work. Though friendship, family and love is important to him, nothing comes before his work.
Derrick Bashor is one of the main characters of Document9. He's the son of the culprit in the petrol station shooting. Derrick is very intelligent, but also very cryptic. He knows more than he lets on, and doesn't really get along with Scott.

Scott runs over to check what the man dropped. He comes back with a piece of paper. They go into the light of the streetlight to see what’s written. With a beautiful handwriting it says: Turn back while you still can - .onila. Scott asks what dot Onila means, but she doesn’t know. As they return to Sundrive Avenue 45, a police car is pulled up there. They hide behind the bins as they see an officer coming out with another person. Scott recognises him as Darren, a senior officer that really doesn’t like him.
