"I told you, Finley."
"Shut up, Cas."
We are both standing inside the elevator which just happens to take its time closing its doors. It's getting more awkward by the second, holding this huge box of my office stuff.
"Sure you don't need a hand?"
"Yeah, Cas, I'm fine."
I couldn't help but imagine the look on his face. He must be trying so hard not to laugh being a good friend that he is.
"You should have seen their faces." There was a slight giggle in his voice.
"Really? After a year and two months working here? I just really don't want to see people's faces anymore. Even you." I don't even know if I'm annoyed that I lost my job or relieved that I did. But it doesn't matter anyway. Here we are, waiting for the fucking door to close.
"I'm gonna miss you bro."
"Stop."
"It's okay to cry, man."
"Cas, what the fuck?"
"There… there, look at that handsome little face. You're gonna be fine. Get a new job and I'll just visit you."
"I'm gonna fucking put this box on your head." In my annoyance, I pressed the 'Close Door' button. And another. And another, this time more rapidly, until I hear Cas let out a slight moan.
"Ugh, yes give it to me." It was disgusting to hear.
"What the hell is wrong with you?!"
"Relax, I'm just trying to make you laugh."
When the doors started closing, a tiny voice came rushing in. The doors went sliding back open again. "Great."376Please respect copyright.PENANAJnMd6T8rgy
It's Lil' sistah Kimmy. And she seems really eager to get down. She's been crunching her two legs while her hand is on her stomach. If I didn't know any better, I'd think she's in labor.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
She seems to be looking still, as if she's guilty of a crime. And then the evidence was all in the compact air of the elevator. Could this day get any worse? I looked at Cas who's just getting a whiff of the crime scene. He then, looks at me in confusion and says,
"Dude, it smells like Kimchi."
