I write because when I was younger I looked up at stars in the sky and asked what those little bright lights in the sky above could possibly be, and then I discovered the pleasures of writing and learned how great it could be to ask, "Why are there stars in the sky? Maybe it's aliens, maybe it is something else entirely!"
