This contract came from drinking the blood of an immortal, not like a vampire yet not like a human either. It made you a beast, but it was a rule, all in the royal family are to be immortal. Another rule, you cannot die until another successor acceptable by all is chosen. I was the next. Being immortal is a curse. You are envied by all. Never treated to be human. But a divine being. It wasn't divine to be immortal. A curse. A terrible, horrific, cruel curse, that i had seen my parents suffer under. Being immortal didn't mean you wouldn't get sick or on the brink of death. In fact it kept you alive till their was a successor, eligible in age to take the throne. My Father, current King of the country, suffers this. He has said time and time again. 'Death is all that is left for me'. So until I become of the appropriate age, this torment will live in our lives.
Many say immortality is neither a gift nor curse, when others die you live. But of course aside from all the negatives, you get to live life. Torment those who can't live long at all. Oh yes that is fun indeed. Torment. Until I declare ruler of my throne with full immortality I will go into the public of the kingdom I will rule. Good or evil will not prevail, only I the next ruler of this kingdom will live as no other, forever.
