This story had been in the back of my mind for a while and a friend of mine finally convinced my to finish it.

She remembers naught of what she was before, she remembers only the pain of becoming this.  This guardian of the forest.  She will protect her forest with her last breath, no mercy there will be from her for the people who destroy the forests.  She will care though for the innocents left to die.  The forest wants them and the forest will have them.
