Look at these hands

These hands of labour and love

In a state of utter disarray

From the pain they’ll never be free of.

.

                        Bound by common thread

They are barely held together

In the twisted

Remnants of peace, that reamer.

.

                        The palpitating pulse

That has been cut off

Leaves life, no longer

Pulsating, prey to scoff.

.

                        These bleeding hands will forever

Lie pleading, uselessly, reaching towards

The source of blood

And its splattering rewards.
