Within 1,000 words, express the assigned value of any noun (i.e. person, place or thing). This can be sentimental or not sentimental; a childhood toy or a paper check; a famous actor/actress or your Mama's cookin'. Anything that could be considered ordinary but has been given value that exceeds it's original identity or purpose. You can be sappy, ironic or anything in-between!
Rules:
- Word count must 1,000 words OR LESS. (This can be as short as a paragraph)
- You must successfully express the value of your chosen noun.
- Subject must be a NOUN.
- Contest is rated PG-13 to allow for minor language.
- Chosen noun's value must be ASSIGNED. Don't write about a necessity like air or a heart. Like. We don't have to give a heart or air value in order to recognize their importance. If you guys really want to go with "air" or "heart" then go ahead and try to prove me wrong--I'm open to that.
To help you guys out, here's Google's definition of "value."
val·ue /ˈvalyo͞o/ noun : the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something.
Hope you guys enjoy this, and don't forget to have fun! Good luck.
