首生大蛇在伊甸裡悉心照料著柑橘樹上唯一的一朵花，
翻風雨的時候牠便化作眼鏡蛇張開頸部為花兒遮攔，
在悶熱的晚上牠化作響尾蛇為花兒演奏搖籃曲。
可是花兒不愛牠，為了反抗大蛇的愛，她斷然使花瓣枯萎，結成了一顆不說話的柑橘。
沒有任何事物可以扭轉她的意願，就是細水長流的愛意都不能夠水滴石穿。
