It was at this time that I first experienced sexual harassment.
The start of the second quarter.
Exams were done and students were happy to get rid of the clingy stress off their shoulders when Jack, the greatest walking weirdo to have walked along the corridors called me over to the library. Our library nowadays, isn’t filled with people as much as it was before due to modern advances. As I turned around, I came face to face with the wide eyed Orlando Sentinel. Or Orly for short. My eye looked down on the papers on his arms. From the corner of my eye Jack was looking dreamily at the man with his head turned towards him. I can tell by the way his lips departed slightly. I kept my cool and acted like I was on for just a conversation.
'What are you two doing here?' He asked coming closer towards us.
I didn't want to answer him, heck, I didn't want him to hear my voice. Orly was known to be a man with big dreams, as what bored female employees would gossip about, but with small wrinkled balls. He was awkward, doesn't know how to laundry and looked to be rickety whenever he is around bog groups of people. But he is smart coming from a family of college professors, it was just that he had lt his insecurities get past him rather than really exposing the capacity of his intellect to others, possibly even helping them.
At least, that's my own thinking about the kind of man he is.
The 36 year old man never failed to make my skin crawl.
He remained wide eyed while his eyes focused on one thing. He was staring at the dreamy Jack. Like a kid who just got into an ocean park for the first time.
He approached him with long slow strides. His back hunched forward. His thin greasy and blond hair sticking into his balding head like a dried spaghetti. He wore a magenta t-shirt, a dirty grey jacket he loves to wear for months, shiny pants and a dusty pair of black shoes. His large hand went up and reached out to the face of Jack. As he did so, I stuck closer to the nearest wall. His knuckles caressed the pale skin of his student and a haggard soft sigh came out of his mouth. I watched in silent horror as I try to swallow back the retch that was scratching on my throat. The revelation slowly unfolding in front of me was indescribable. As quickly or as unpredictably the 'magic' started, it was suddenly gone as Orly's head snapped back up at me with a new profound discovery.
I skidded, literally almost skated on the old wooden floors as I ran away from the couple.
I had never seen Jack nor did I went to the library on the following days. Never once did I think that I was going to get away from knowing the pedophile circumstances of Orly.
Then it as in the mid of October when I was asked to run an errand to the library. I froze beside that teacher as she continued to speak to the class. I must had stood there for too long when she tuned her attention back at me.

Her long thick hair fluttered against her erect shoulders as she walked. The faint smell of her perfume which floated along with the weak wind was the kind I like. It was neither strong or irritating to the nose.
'Why didn't you go by yourself.' she said in monotone.
If you weren't used to talking to her, you couldn't have possibly heard her voice for the first time. It was a good ear exercise, if ever there is one, to listen to her speak because it was so soft like a whisper making your ears adjust greatly to it.
I didn't reply and continued to walk beside her.
'Are you really feeling sick.' she said again in another monotone. She was always like that.
'You think I'm not capable of getting sick?'

'Oh?' I said, losing my interest on the conversation. It was always better talking or hanging out with her. There was never too much or less on almost anything with her. Well. according to my own level of preference.
And just like that we walked to the clinic in silence. Taking routes with less classrooms as much as possible.
'I'll be out for a few minutes. Gonna buy some lunch for my daughter outside. Can you stay in here and behave?' The nurse said as she turned to grab the doorknob on her way out.

She sat on the side of the bed. Her head bowed down. Her long hair shielding her face from my view. Her shallow skin protruding out from her sleeves.

She was calm but her eyes dug themselves into my lips. She leaned in closer to me, putting her hands in between my upper body. Our lips touched, hers cold but soft. 'Here.' I took out some bills from my breast pocket and handed it to her. She looked at it then at me for a few minutes before her first expression of the day bloomed on her face. Her face contorted in worry.
'Look, Fei. I don't want this. It's your money. I can't accept any more of this.' She said
'No. You have to. You haven't been eating for days. Damn, I don't know how many meals you have already missed.'

'Take it. Please. I can't bare to look at you this way.'

She searched my eyes for any lie and found nothing.

I heard the door opened and the pit patter of footsteps entered the room. I shifted to the other side and covered half of my face with a blanket. The nurse flung the curtain open only to look at my back.
'Did that girl already go?' She asked softly more of to herself, she was unsure if I was asleep or not.
'Yeah, she did.' my voice sounded hoarse in my ears.

'I've never seen her before. She must be new, and pretty. Is she your girlfriend?'
I managed to turn my head a bit, peaking at her with only one eye visible. I smiled.
'No, unfortunately.'
When the bell rang for lunch I signed out of the clinic and went back to the classroom to get my wallet. When I returned, my bag was slightly off its original position under my table. I shook the thought away thinking the table must have been moved. I took out my bag and opened it when a foreign journal popped out. Its cover was leather and little colorful papers were sticking out of it's pages.
Someone had placed this inside.
I was about to open it when one of my friends called outside. I quickly withdrew the journal back inside and tucked my light weight wallet in my back pocket. I looked at my bag with suspicion before running outside.
At home I waited until dinner was done and everyone went to sleep. I locked my door and turned off the lights leaving only the study lamp on on top of my table. I took a seat and rummaged my bag on the floor, taking out the journal.
It shone against the light. It looked new but used.

The next page was pasted with grainy pictures of two students. My eyes went wide as I realized who they were.

The next page was filled with more pictures and post it's of varying type stuck beside them. Little notes were written in them. The handwriting on most notes were a bit shaky, probably written on a rough surface.
Appalled, my hands scanned through the remaining pages. All had the same content. All had nearly the same angle.

It was in the late autumn when the third day dawned on me. It was a weekend and my parents were away for a short business trip. Trips often comes by to both of them nowadays. I told Crysilda, my younger sister, that I would be away. I didn't know when I'll come back.
'I'll call you when something comes up. You know what to do in the house if you're alone, don't you?'
'Yes! for the last time I'm not an elementary kid anymore.'
I took the path behind the school when the wire fence was severely rusted by time and neglected. It was easy to find a hole in it, the late comers often use this path. I've tried it once. It was like you were never late in the first place. Anyway, I took the old path and walked behind a set of old pine trees just beside one of the tennis courts. I turned to my left where the exit door of the old building was. It was already open by the time I arrived. For security purposes my phone was actively tracked in my laptop at home. I went inside the dark building. Its translucent windows casting a powdery glow over the dark corridors and walls. It wasn't that dark to miss moving shadows so when I did see one, I silently followed it and it led to a hall where the last room was lit with light.
'Here you are.' a voice said at my left. Orly was sitting in a corner where the shadows consumed his presence. 'I thought you wouldn't come. My fingers were starting to pick the keys.' On his lap was a laptop and a usb stuck at it's side.

He stood up from his seat and placed the device on top of it. He passed by me and clicked a switch. Another ray of light focused on the other side of the room. There was a metal table of it and the unconscious body of Jack. His lower body naked. A rubber tube was poking out of his arm. It was connected to a dextrose looking contained raised up from the table, only it didn't contain a transparent liquid. Its color was yellow, like urine.
I took a step back.
'Don't worry about it. He's just sleeping.'

'You scream. No one really hears. Didn't you listen to the news earlier? snow will be falling down hard tonight. It might be even earlier. People would surely come home or be stuck somewhere warm. Well, you should too. Soon.'
I wanted to run away so badly, yet the image of Jack haunted my consciousness. SHIT.
Orly seemed to be finding my condition amusing as a disgusting grin was dancing on his face. His eyes wild with excitement. He moved closer to me but I didn't let the distance decrease between him and I. He moved around me in circles like a predator does to its prey. My hands were outstretched to punch him but the unpredictable force of fear chained my limbs stiff. I was trembling but not enough to be obvious. My stomach was churning. I want to punch his face so bad. But the syringe was grinning razors at me on his left hand. He suddenly lunge at me and I my feet slipped from the cold tile. I fell on my bottom with a thud. He cackled.
'Get on with it.' He said, all humor suddenly gone.
Strong and harsh pain exploded on my head, followed by my shoulders, right side and back. My eyes shut close.
'No. Don't. Pull that one leg to the right. Yes. Yes! All right. Now raise his hips a bit higher.'
I heard the bastards voice hollering. It might just be my injured head, but God the pain of the sound. Thumping on my brain. I tried to open my eyed and found out that they were heavy as a rock. I could barely open it but was enough to see what was going on around. There were lights everywhere. Bright lights and wide saucers bordering them. Orly was holding something on his hand. A camera. And he was pointing it at me. I tried to speak but no sound came from my mouth. Not only did I not have any control nor feeling over my mouth but it also my whole body. I was screaming inside. But all that came out was a heavy sleepy moan.
'Oh, he's awake.' Orly said.

Then I felt it. Hard. Tearing flesh as it entered my body. I flinched. It was painful. Disgusting. Shameful. I closed my eyes tight. My tongue feeling heavy and numb. Another moan came out of my throat. My body thrust forward and backward. I kept screaming inside. My moans now becoming gurgles. Saliva dripped from my open mouth. Tears and snot covered my face.
Flash after flash his camera clicked on me. Flash after flash the movement became faster. Flash after flash I felt something dripping in between my legs. Flash after flash I wished it would end.
It was my turn to be sprawled on top of the metal table. Like a meat ready to cut in pieces. I could see the rubber tube tracing it to my arm with its needle ends poking out of my arm. The valve or something was loosened, making the dripping faster. Making my fingers and arm grew a bit larger. I felt like a corpse with no control over his body. The coldness of the metal seeped through my exposed skin. But it didn't bother me as much anymore.
Orly stood at my side, hovering like a large disgusting fly. I closed my eyes from the nightmare I was seeing and let the tears flow.
I can back home early morning the next day. I was limping and fell to my knees several times on the way back home with the blaring snow ahead. I hitched a ride and ignored the curious looks the female driver was giving me. The garage was still empty and Crysilda's curtains were drawn close. I went inside the house silently, closed the door and fell dead asleep on the bed.
And that was the last proper sleep I had for the past 4 months. Orly didn't come near me anymore and Jack remained his weirdo self. He acted like there was nothing wrong, and he did it very well. But I can sense his unease whenever he felt and knew I was near. Everything was tense. I couldn't tell anyone about it. Not the teachers, not the principal, not the police and especially my parents. Orly has the greatest advantage between the two of us. I could lose my chances of a better future in this school. I could loose work opportunities if the real story would come out, my life would be practically be fucked up. And my parents.... I pulled my hair hard in frustration as I thought about it. I could only blame myself. I could only blame my fucking self.
Moreover, Orly can't stop himself from sending reminders of his doing to me week after week.
I was tired all the time. I couldn't sleep so how could I? I didn't have the appetite so I lost some weight. My parents noticed the details but gave little care, fortunately. I didn't want to add to their worries. Crysilda was busy preparing for a major entrance examination in an exclusive school. She got a scholarship in there apparently. I was thankful, that I could at least see some hope and pure happiness from my sister as I dug myself my own grave day after day. Rani was the only one I could be with. She understood. Every though I told her nothing. She knew how to comfort me even though the effects are merely short and fleeting. The distance I had been creating between my old friends grew wider. And by the time tension blew up from our friendship, I have had enough. They didn't know what the fuck was going on. I didn't come to school for 2 weeks. They kept calling, worried that I might have been too hurt or the kind of shit those bitches thinks. I could only blame myself. Rani was an orphan who lived with the sister of the former head nun of the orphanage she came from. The sister wasn't as great as the nun, though. She kept her like a maid in her house.
