This world is most definitely a purgatory, only there is no way to use our created good deeds to atone for our sins. No good act can buy our way to Paradise.
Hell. It is our fears turning into reality. A reality in which we cannot find a way out of the distorted dream. Paradise is a beautiful end, where happiness is neverending.
Happiness? How is it achieved?
No answer can fit every person, every answer varies. However, love is one of the most common and most powerful forms of happiness.
Love? How is it found?
That is another question that varies that I cannot give a strong answer.
I see...love. It sounds so beautiful. Can someone teach me love? Please, I want to understand everything.
Migi opened his eyes slowly.
“Strange...a dream without visuals,” spoke Migi, yawning.
He recalled the words.
“Can someone teach me love?”
The words echoed inside. The voice that spoke the words was a voice, unlike anything he had ever heard.
The voice was quiet, soft, and curious. It was like a child but was a mix of two voices. The voice of a small girl and the voice of a young man.
The answering voice was the voice of a woman, who had such a sweet and calming voice.
“Why do I have to get the strange dreams...?” asked Migi, rubbing his eyes.
He looked around to let his eyes adjust. He was in a different part of the cave. He got up.
“Where am I...Hell?”
He looked around some more. Paints of several colors and broken sculptures lay everywhere.
“Well, I’m certainly not in Heaven, that’s for sure.”
A sharp blade touched Migi’s back. He turned around.
Tori ran as fast as he could, almost tripping over his own feet several times.
He rushed towards the cabin’s door, opening it as fast as he could. All of his classmates were awake, and all of them stared at him.
“Where were you?” began Nomin. “What happened? “Where is...”
They all stared at Tori, gasping in response. His face filled with shock, his face wet with flowing tears and fresh blood.
A beautiful garden grew silently.
Flowers of pastel blues, yellows, and pure whites grew peacefully alone in a small pool of water, surrounding the body of a young girl wearing a lacy white dress.
The body of water resided in an untouched art gallery, filled with beauty and wonder that could only be found in the most brilliant of imaginations.
Two small figures walked towards the girl’s body.
“What is that thing?” asked a voice.
“It is not a thing, she is a human,” replied the other.
“Is there a difference?” questioned the first figure.
“Of course, dimwit!” replied the second voice, irritated. “Things are possessions, humans however...they have souls. They only belong to their Creator, but their state of belonging is only the sweetest of relationships that one could ever find themselves in."
“Oh...how do they find that relationship?”
“In surrender can they find that love humans were born for. A surrender made of powerful and captivating love.”
Tori sat silently outside of the cabin, only the cold air giving him company. He couldn't bear to look his classmates in the eye. Not now. Not ever.
‘Did Elohim give me talent of losing those I hold dear?’ thought Tori, holding his hands together.
A scenery of red and death, with a sound of screaming and crying danced in his mind.
‘If so, I would rather have no purpose....’
Tori looked up to the sky. Snow began to fall again, kissing his face gently.
“Why do you not want me to search? Is it because I am cut, bruised? Is it because I’m weak? Is it because of my illness?”
Hidari’s questions rang inside his mind, echoing over and over. He didn’t know everything about Hidari, but what he did know, he wished he could forget.
What he knew were secrets that she was trying her best to hide, secrets than shamed her and if found out by anyone else...her whole existence would be put to shame more that it already was.
‘I’m sorry, Hidari...’ thought Tori.
A small, red light shone through the trees, catching Tori’s eye.
Fear rushed through his blood, his face growing cold. He got up quickly and ran inside. Everyone stared at him again.
“Everyone, hide!” began Tori. “Someone is coming!”
Migi turned around.
A tall figure wearing a pitch-black cloak and a masquerade mask stood behind him. He held a scythe that he pointed to Migi. Five other figures dressed in the same attire stood still, each holding a torch, each wearing a mask that looked like the faces of beasts.
“Puer inventus est. Puer apparuit. Puer intelligo oportet destrui,” said the figure with the scythe.
“Puer intelligo oportet destrui. Puer intelligo oportet destrui. Puer intelligo oportet destrui!!” repeated the other figures.
Tori began to run to a place where he could see the beings coming his way. He coughed as he ran. Blood came from his mouth.
‘No...not right now...please...’ thought Tori.
He coughed again, this time, tripping and falling to his knees.
“Please...not right now...” breathed Tori.
He was still ill, and only the future knew if Tori’s demise was only a last breath away.
Migi began to back away from the figures slowly, looking at them with eyes ice cold.
“What are you all saying? What do you want with me?” asked Migi, his voice filled with anger and confusion.
None of them answered with words.
The scythe-wielding figure kicked him in the stomach, the others shortly following its lead.
They began to kick him harder and harder, and blood fell from Migi’s face. His nose began to bleed and he began to cough up blood.
Despite all of this, Migi did not fall, and if he did, and when he did, he did not stay down. He wiped away the blood from his mouth, letting out a shaky breath.
“If you all are attempting to kill me, you are surely going to fail...I’m not going to die this way...I am not going to die by your will,” breathed Migi, his cold, crimson eyes glaring at his oppressors.
The figures began to kick Migi more and more, ignoring his words of defiance. Migi coughed up fresh blood.
“S-Stop it...” spoke Migi, his words falling out with the red.
The figures kicked harder and harder, one of them kicking him to the ground. Migi tried to get up again, but without success.
The figures came closer to him, kicking him more.
“Stop....” breathed Migi.
The figures ignored his bloodied words and hurt him more.
“Stop it!!!” yelled Migi once more, his words loud enough for the dead to hear.
Tall figures of masks and raven black stood around Tori as he breathed hard.
“Tempus est mori,” spoke one.
“I wish...” laughed Tori weakly. “But I’ve got someone to save.”
“Tempus moriendi, Eliseus filius,” spoke another, whose voice was like thunder.
Tori’s blood turned cold. His heart began to beat fast at the words that were spoken to him.
He coughed again.
More blood dripped from his mouth, and he fell to his face. Darkness began to swarm Tori, and his heart paced faster. He screamed as loud as he could, but no one could hear him. His ears began to ache at the sound of his own screams that he could not stop. The words of the thunder-voiced figure echoed in his mind.
“It is time to die, son of Elisha.”
Rock began to fall from the ceiling of the cave.
A strange figure fell through, swiftly striking the figures, black liquid spilling from the cloak and mask-clad beings.
The leader of the masked beings began to fade, but before it fully faded away, the mysterious slaughterer used it’s large and sharp-looking hands to tear the leader apart.
Migi stared at the mysterious slaughterer with eyes of shock. The figure was tall and thin, with large claws as hands. It’s long and scraggly spearmint colored hair and feral red eyes made the figure look insane, with the black blood of the silent figures dripping from his face and hands.
