It was quiet, the day he came

The way he trembled my name

I was silent, wasn't the same

It was soothing, the song he sang

The words he cooed, the bells he rang

I was nothing, soundless my pang

It was perfect, the night we kissed

How his lips leaned in and missed

I kissed back, no more wishing

He was to be my own dome

It was quiet, soothing

And I his earth, sky, and home

It was perfect, soundless

We were the seas and the foam

The words he cooed, the song he sang

How his lips leaned in and missed
