It was a nebulous night, as they sat on her bed in her room.
“I wish I had a normal life. Like I had before,” she confessed.
“Before me,” he replied.
“It’s not you,” she assured him, a hand on the side of his face. “You’re the one freaky thing in this freaky world, that still makes sense to me. I want to be a normal girl with a normal life. I want to be able to go to football games; have fun; be normal.”
She took her hand away.
He looked at a picture on her end table.
“Was that part of your normal life?”
She sighed. “My Dorothy Hamal phase. My room in LA was a hall of fame. Dorothy posters, Dorothy pictures; I even had Dorothy clothes. My dad used to take me out to the skating rink on Tuesdays.”
“There’s a rink out past route 29. It’s open on Tuesdays,” he informed her.
They stood in the middle of her room, inches in front of each other, close enough to kiss.
“Tomorrow’s Tuesday,” she replied.
The next night, Buffy arrived before Angel to practice skating, only to get a run in with a vampire.
When Angel arrived, and saw that, he vamped out and killed him, before picking up the ring.
In the end, the vampire assassins sent by Drusilla and Spike to kill Buffy, were defeated.
