Everything I was told should be my greatest insecurities and weaknesses, everything that I've been labeled - short, nerdy, skinny, weak, impulsive, ugly, tomboy, poor, rebel, loud, freak, crazy - turned out to be my greatest strengths. I didn't become successful in spite of them. I became successful because of them.

1. Her insecurities

My name is lora and I am going to tell you a short story of my life, a short story in a long story that is my life. This story starts with a day, a day printed in my memory like every other days.

My lecturer was supposed to conduct a  test for us, a test on a compulsory course, law of contract.  He didn't conduct the test and no one could hold him responsible because he had every power, the power to do and undo, to write and erase what he had written. He was the alpha of the class and we were his beta's.

He cancelled the class leaving me heartbroken because unlike me I spent a whole week reading for this test because I didn't want to fail it. I had a photographic memory but still I was afraid to forget. Life is funny, I forget what i need to remember and remember what I need to forget. 

I got up from my chair after the lecturer left the class in a hurry seeing that the whole class was rowdy, he didn't say much. 

Standing up my insecurities came crashing down on me as ever, did I look beautiful? was my hair too rough? is my walking step good enough?. So many questions to ask but who do I ask them to, how do I judge my own self. Who ever can say he is an upright judge when it comes to judging himself is a liar.
