Hello!
For starters, I'm sorry for my not publishing a new post sooner, I just needed a topic to talk about and I hadn't been able to think of one that I could personally relate to at the time :)
Anyways.
I think we can all relate to the pressure following success. When we write or draw that one perfect piece that everyone seems to be captivated by and love.
I've felt this sometimes. In those times, I catch myself asking, "How do I do it again? What if my next poem isn't as great as this one seems to be?" Though the pressure is real and relatable, none of us can afford to think that way however. In those moments, it's best to remember where we started. Our roots. Our beginning.
If we can take that moment to forget about success and throw it out the door, then I think we can become a little more fearless. It doesn't matter if your next piece is successful or not, because at some point you will reach it again. So I say this, as much to myself as to you, do not be afraid of falling a little short. And when you think about it, you're not really falling short at all. Don't let the masses pressure you or make you believe in 'failures'. While one picture or string of words can seem unrealistic or unrelatable to one person, I guarantee you that there are more people out there that are touched by your talents and passions than there are who aren't. Do not be scared of sharing your work or your talents. Someone out there will always be grateful that you put it out there in the world. Someone will cherish what you have done. Anyone who says otherwise has simply not gained an understanding of the power of words, art, and/or the strength of emotion. Be fearless, be you. Do not let other people scare you. Write/draw/sing/dance for you.
Do what you do and love for you and share it with others.
I'm sorry this is a kind of short post, but I hope this makes some sort of difference for someone out there in the world.
