千年之前，四方神獸東青龍，西白虎，南朱雀，北玄武驟然而逝。

千年之久，玄武轉生。

武玹身為玄武再世，以及一名小說家，以蒐集故事為興趣。


在好友宇文粼得到公司的大獎—三個旅行團的名額後，和堂姐武玳三人，以及武玳身邊的三個鬼，踏上了中國全境遊的旅程。

全是古蹟的行程，接二連三發生的事件，慢慢的把武玹引導向了一個遠古傳說的源頭。千年之前，強大的四方神獸為何會在短時間之內全數殞命？而旅途上不時出現在武玹附近，觀察著武玹的男子的臉，為何對武玹來說如此熟悉，卻無法憶起他的名字？

其餘的三方神獸，又身在何方？

武玹在漸漸接近當初玄武隕落的地點時，也一步步踏入了兇險之地
