Once upon a time there was a woman of unparalleled beauty, and she was beloved by all- beloved most of all by her betrothed who she loved equally in return. But another woman loved her betrothed and this woman yearned for her affections to be returned. To accomplish her desires the other woman cursed the first to ensure her own result- that the man would love her in return, love her beyond how he had loved the first.

She did not account for rebirth however and this tale has been repeated hundred of times over the span of thousands of years.
