I violently jump and come down on Kaden's door icon with my elbow, bursting into his rooms.
"You fucker." I sethe, calling out in anger. "Get your sorry ass out here. I know what you are." I scan the room, not finding a trace of the perpetrator. Then I hear his voice.
"You mean you know what we are." I whip around, my eyes slicing violently along the walls until I find Kaden leaning against a table, staring at me casually. His golden hair is tossled up in a I just walked right out of a wind tunnel and I didn't properly comb my hair afterwards way, indicating he probably hasn't gotten a chance to clean up today. He looks nice. I'm suddenly reminded of how nice kaden is. How much I like him. My anger wavers before coming back full force. The world tilts a bit and I take a step to the side, regaining my balance. Kaden's smirk flickers, worry faintly dashing his face. My vision goes in and out for a second and I'm caught between seeing Kaden's smug face and his worried on. I close my eyes, taking a breath. My god. Focus, you stupid stupid Bronzer. Focus. My arms burn, and I can almost feel them glowing. Kaden stands up straight, and only then do I notice his attire. Or lack there of. He wears sweatpants, but not much else. My anger begins to be tainted by uncertainty as I'm reminded of what he's coming to mean to me. Charlie's face flashes in and out of my vision and I grasp at the air desperately. A feeling of regret and betrayal scews my focus and a single tear runs down my face. I collapse onto the floor, swiping at the air.
"My god. What did you do, Kaden? What did you do to me?" The smug look strains and then falls away completely as he strides towards me, kneeling down next to where I sit cumpled on the floor. He takes me into his arms hesitantly and I burry my face in the crook of his neck.
"It's okay, Lyn. It's all fine. I'm sorry. I know it hurts and this is all probably so confusing for you but it's all going to be okay, Lyn. This is for the best. You'll hate me for this at first, but hopefully you can learn to love me again. Or at all, if you never did." Kaden sighs, cradling my face in his hands. "You should also know that these random bursts of emotion will go away. Your vision and hearing and everything will stabalize, you'll stop getting random memories popping up out of no where. You're just adjusting to becoming a Caltrit. Hopefully once you're better you won't want to punch me in the face anymore or burst out crying at random intervals." I glare at him, a surge of defensivness rising inside me. His eyes go wides as he senses my mood change. "Shit." He mutters and I take my hand and place it on my hip.
"Shit what, Kaden? And what do you mean by crying at random intervals? Are you trying to say my emotions are unwarrented in the current situation you've gone and landed me in?!" I snarl. Kaden looks taken aback and I take that as an opertunity to push him away, marching off into his room. At this point I have no idea what I'm about to do, I'm acting on raw emotion, which always goes well. Note my sarcasm.
"Where are you going exactly?" I hear from behind me. I ignore Kaden and go into his bedroom and lock the door icon behind me. I can hear him trying to open it and I snicker, sticking my tongue out at where I assume he probably is.
"What the fuck, Lyn? This is my god damned room! You can't just... What the fuck, love!?" I lean against the wall where the door icon is and suddenly all I can think about is how fucking adorable puppies are. A flash of this one puppy my parents bought a sim of for me when I was younger. I want a fucking puppy. Now. I turn around and open the door icon and Kaden tumbles through. I back up just in time for him to land not on me but the floor. I giggle, grabbing his arm and pulling him up and out. "Where are we going?"
"We need to get a puppy or a kitten or maybe both, Kaden. We need to. Like I'm not entirely sure I can be around you anymore if we don't get a kitten. Kaden I want a kitten. Let's go get a kitten." Kaden gafaws behind me, pulling me to an abrupt stop.
"Lyn. You can't simply decide out of nowhere to get a kitten. You need to do research, think about it. At the very least sleep on it...?" I shake my head violently.
"I want a kitten now, Kaden." He massages the space just below and between his eyebrows.
"Lyn. Please stop it. Let's just go watch a movie and get you calmed down. Hopefully this emotional high will pass." I glare at him.
"You should probably get used to this. This is actually pretty normal for me. Happens at least once every month or two if you catch my drift." Kaden pales.
"Um, Lyn I really don't think I need to be-"
"Periods are a completely normal and beautiful thing that happens to-" He places his hand over my mouth and I continue on in a muffled voice. "JAFJADFJSSCM." After a while I stop and he breathes a sigh of relief before letting go. "AAA BBEEEEE SEEEE DEEE EEEEEE-"
"Nope no no no. Not today, Satan." He clamps his hand back over my mouth and I pout. "Oh come on. You know you're acting like a little devil, right?" I just scrunch my eyebrows up and glare at him. "Lyn. Seriously. Are you going to stop being an idiot if I take my hand off your mouth?" I continue glaring and he finally releases me again. I keep my lips sealed shut defiantly. "So are you going to say anything, or...?" I stand still, putting all my effort into keeping my lips sealed and my thought inside my head.
"Come on lyn. Stop it. You're freaking me out." I close my eyes, squeezing them shut real hard. "Oh. So we're gonna do that, are we? Giving me the cold shoulder? Really? Just how old are you again?" I can suddenly see red light flashing through my eyelids. I open them in shock. My emotions straighten out amazingly fast and I can see out of the corner of my eye that my skin glows. So does Kadens. His light white and blue lights weave through the air with my green and purple ones.
I look over to find that his sweatpants have been replaced by dark silver skin tight weird cloth of some kind. It covers everything and as my eyes move up, I see he now wears a matching shirt. It's all peppered by decorative patterned cracks in the armor where the blue and white light shine through. The cloth runs up his neck and stops just at his jawline, seemingly disapearing beneath his skin. His eyes glow one blue and one white, in contrast with the usual striking light grey. His face has more of what looks to be the metal like cloth fused into his skin in the spots the bones and vulnerable places are.
My hearing comes back sharp again and I yelp as I suddenly can hear everything. My skins burns again and everything goes out of focus for a second. Then it all comes rushing back all at once but it's focused. I can see so clearly. I grin, suddenly aware. Just... aware. Of everything. Of nothing. I look down, examining my own armor, which other than the fact that it's black with purpe and green with slightly different patterns, is pretty much identicle to Kaden's in design. I trace the sharp edges of the armor, admiring the sleek yet obviously agressive looking design. Now that I look closer, Kaden's seems to have more rounded edges. It looks more child friendly. Nicer in a sort of that decorative sword is pretty type of way, while mine is more beautiful in a I respect the fact that this sword could definately kill me type of way. I like it. It's functional.
"Who made these?" I ask, and kaden shakes his head, smiling.
"We did. With the Caltrital's help, of course, but it was mostly you. It's designed based on who you are. I can't help but notice the Caltrital picked up on your violent streak." He grins. The red lights continue flashing.
"Um, hate to interupt this moment, but what the fuck is up with the lights?" I question, and Kaden seems to finally notice the lack of normal light.
"Oh. Ya. Aitmil is under seige." He shrugs, and I gape at him for a good minute or two before finally snapping out of it. He goes over casually to the table in his living room and picks up a glass of champagne, sipping it slowly. I follow him with my eyes, unbelieving of his calmness in the face of such a crisis. A flash of Crystal laughing stops me suddenly and I'm hit with the gravity of the fact that if I don't act fast, I may never see her again.
"Shit. Where's Crystal?"
