當然，這前題是在男女平等的情況下。

至於中國人社會較著重性別，在家中排行不影響資源投放，主要是重男輕女。正所謂女大無作為，只要是男的最小也吃香。但當遇著一家多兒情況又如何？父母還是會以長子為先。
