a noisy home

where kittens purr

and children roam

I'm from a front porch

land of sweat tea,

blessing hearts

and southern hospatality

I'm from a small white church

the third row pew

learning bout sin and salvation

and a God whose love is true

i'm from the land of motherhood

raising children not my own

giving gifts of love and understanding

so they wont be alone
