These stories are set in the same universe around the same general time; the order in which they are posted is not necessarily chronological.
Eagles stemmed from my wanting to encourage a friend who was going through a hard time, but I didn't really know how else to do it but to write something inspirational for him. I wanted him to know that he could make it through and he would come out on top--and the rest simply evolved from there. Each story is written for a different person, and each for a different reason.
