I sense the irony in ignorance,

And hear the storm sirens beckon,

Before winds start wailing and I start failing,

I'll lose my dignity and pride, but

At least, for now, I have some time.

So I drive until my car stalls,

And am contentedly cliche,

Keep reminding me that i'm

Genuinely, constantly depraved,

Alhough I grip with straining knuckles,

To the last of my decay,

I know it's less about my sanity,

And more about feeling okay.
