I turned back and hollered over at my friends, "Guys! Hurry we'll miss the bus!!" they looked up at me and smiled at my childishness. "Ben get your lazy butt over here!" Prexa complained, struggling to lift our bags into the car trunk. "But Amon doesnt have to do anything!" He whined and looked over at me, "Neither is Crystal!" I laughed.
"I am, and plus, Amon is too weak to lift the bags so..." I retorted, noticing my short friend out of the corner of my eye, ready to pounce. "I AM NOT!" he shouted and I raised an eyebrow. "Alright," I shrugged, "Then lift these bags" he did so without trouble. "And these, and this too." I disturbed, handing him more bags every time while writing and sketching in my book. Soon, all the bags were gone.
"There, Prexa, Sam. I helped you, now can we get in?" Amon's jaw dropped as I snickered, patting his shoulder. We all piled into the bus sized car and got our seats. I chose a seat by the window which was nice and warm for me to sketch. I came to a conclusion to just sketch the surroundings as they zoomed by. "Guys I brought the Ouija board!" Ben chirped, Ou—ija? I pondered, I heard them mumble something then saw them share shocked looks, I shrugged.
It was gonna be a long trip so I just plugged in my headphones and continued drawing, until I felt the whole trailer bounce and rumble. I tipped my head back and shook my headphones off.
~Sam's p.o.v~
"What happened???" I heard Prexa and Ben question in sync and do a highfive as I pressed the breaks. "I dont know..." I commented from the driver's seat calmly. There wasn't anything on the road ahead so Im not really sure what I hit. Maybe there was a hole? Who knows. All I knew was that I had to check if the trailer was alright so I hopped out while asking Amon to take the wheel while I was away.
Once I came out, I sighed, "Punctured..." I hissed and knelt down to take a closer look. Yep, it wasn't fixable. I looked around the hills, my height gave me an advantage here as I spotted a blur of a house on the peak of the highest hill on the plains.
