Chapter Forty Six: Karma is a bitch
Kyle's POV:
I looked through the fridge to find something to drink, then I lay on the sofa and was checking my facebook messages, I heard the doorbell ring so I got up to open it, whoever it is has to have a good reason for not letting me have a rest and take a nap.
I opened it to find none other than Sarah standing at the door, I stepped aside to let her in, she walked in her her heels clicking, and I had to admit she looked gorgeous, not as pretty as Kristen but Sarah was definitely sexy, the way she looked right now reminded me of why I decided to impregnate her.
It's true I had approached her to get revenge on Richard, but one has to admit Sarah looked very beautiful, especially in that short dress she was wearing, she hadn't put on much makeup, her blonde hair was kind of wavy, which proved she was beautiful naturally.
I mentally slapped myself for being such a dick and drooling over a whore.
"Well, well, well.. look who's here" I muttered with a smirk, and raised the beer in my hands asking her if she wants to drink any, her eyes were burning holes in my head, looking very angry and disgusted with me, but I didn't pay her any mind, that was how I was being treated by everyone.
"I want nothing from you" she hissed, I raised my brow at her surprised at her courage, and my smile dropped, I sighed and brought the bottle of beer to my lips, I took a gulp from it and sighed.
"What do you want?" I said weakly, she sighed and bit her rosy lips in anger, making me look elsewhere.
"I came to tell you this Tuesday I will get married to Richard" she muttered, my eyes widened in surprise, I smiled at her and laughed out loud, this was very good news, Richard is ruined finally, I got what I wanted.
"Good job, Sarah" I said, and patted her shoulder but she stepped back and looked at me with disgust. Making me feel a little bit of something in my chest, what the hell? What's this feeling?
"Make sure you come, you wanted to see Richard ruined, so come and see for yourself" she said, I smiled at her smart brain and chuckled.
"Of course, darling" I told her, she rolled her eyes and was about to walk out, I grabbed her arm forcefully and pulled her close to my body, my lips only inches away from her forehead.
"Where do you think you're going without a kiss?" I whispered in her ear, after I heard this good news, I deserved a celebration and a congratulations gift for my smart brain, didn't I?
I knew exactly how to seduce Sarah, she liked the stupid romantic things Richard did for her girl friends, so all I had to do was be more romantic and win her over, it worked the previous time, it will work again this time too. But boy I was so wrong.
I brought my hands to cup her beautiful face, and leaned in to kiss her, but she slapped my hands away and walked towards the front door, before she closed the door she turned around.
"Don't touch me ever again, understood?" she hissed and slammed the door shut, leaving me taken aback.
I breathed in and out sharply and threw the bottle of the beer in my hands at the wall.
Even though I have lost my plaything, Sarah, on the bright side Richard was ruined. That was something to be happy for.
I was counting days impatiently the next days, until Tuesday came, Richard's rich father has invited all the country, most importantly the rich friends of his, knowing Mr. Anderson he would want this wedding to be huge just as his own reputation. I found a way to get into the wedding and see my accomplishment for myself.
Tuesday came and I wore my suit, I smiled at myself in the mirror and drove my car to the place where the wedding was taking place, as I expected it was very crowded, I parked my car far away from where the wedding was taking place, and walked. I had borrowed a false ID from one of my friends who was invited and I had changed the picture on the ID temporarily to myself.
The guards were careless and let me in, It wasn't hard to find the hall of their wedding, after all everyone has come to see the millionaire's son's wedding with Sarah.
I found a place to sit down, and waited for the stupid ceremony to begin, I looked around and stared at all the stupid people who looked happy for this wedding, I was pitying them, then I saw Kristen sitting by her parents, her parents looked happy but Kristen's expression was unreadable, since her back was to me I couldn't see much of her face.
As if Kristen could feel my eyes on her, she turned around and her eyes found mine, her face was void of any emotion or reaction, she was staring at me as if she was expecting me to be here, I smiled at her, she was smart as always, you'll eventually be mine, so that Richard suffers more, Kristen. I can assure you. I thought, Kristen turned away from me as the music started, Richard was waiting for his bride by his groom's men, Tom and Henry.
W all looked back to stare at the bride, coming in. her arms were linked with some man in his middle forties, who looked like her dad, and she was smiling at him, she looked happy.
A few seconds have passed when I suddenly realized my jaw was nearly dropped to the floor, at Sarah's beautiful image, she was absolutely breathtaking, I almost felt jealous and wanted to be in Richard's place, marrying her and making her mine forever, but I soon recovered and snorted at the idea, who would want to marry a whore?
The bride reached the groom, and Sarah's father said something to Richard we couldn't hear, Richard nodded his head, but he looked nervous, he looked sad too, or was I dreaming? I couldn't comprehend his reaction, which was weird, I have known Richard nearly all my life.
The priest talked on and on which was very boring, I was about to fall asleep, then it was time for the vows each of them said their vows, finally the interesting part.
"Do you Sarah Jones, take Richard Anderson as your husband?" the priest asked Sarah, Sarah sighed and stared at Richard, he nodded at her in encouragement.
"I do" She said, her voice weak and emotionless, making me wonder what the hell could be wrong with her.
"Will you Richard Anderson, take Sarah Jones as your wife?" the priest continued.
Richard stared at Sarah, then he turned around and looked through all the guests as if looking for someone, he then stared at Kristen and smiled at her, I couldn't see Kristen's face but I was sure she smiled back at him. Then he looked at the people some more, until his eyes met mine, I furrowed my brows in confusion, what the hell is he doing?
We stared at each other for a while, the Richard stared at Henry and nodded at him, Henry disappeared for a while, then he brought a microphone and handed it to Richard, Richard checked the microphone first then he started talking, all the while he was staring at me.
"Ladies and gentleman, I'm sorry for brining you all here " he said " But, they say karma is a bitch, today me and my family all called you here to let you know that, Sarah's baby is not mine"
There was chaos and murmurs among the guests, Richard then nodded at Henry again, the hall suddenly became dark the only light visible was from the data show, which I haven't noticed was there. Richard continued:
"As you can all see, this is a pregnancy test, there is no match between me and Sarah's baby, But it's clearly obvious from this other test, which was done for another man, that the baby is his"
My eyes widened and my throat felt dry all of a sudden, what the hell is this? This was supposed to be a wedding.
"That man was the one who wanted to destroy my family's reputation, also he impregnated Sarah to get revenge on me, he has also raped my wife Kristen, Yes, Kristen is still my wife, there is no way I can divorcer her for someone like Sarah" Richard said, as he pointed his finger as Sarah, she looked a little hurt by what Richard said, but recovered soon.
"That person is here, ladies and gentleman, his name is Kyle" Richard said my name, all the audience were whispering and murmuring among themselves, they soon followed Richard's gaze and they all found out that Kyle is me, I snorted at the condition, there was nothing I could do right now, the people were looking at me disgustingly, that proved they believe whatever Richard was saying, and that showed my plans failed.
"I hope Sarah and Kyle understand, that no matter how much they suffer someone, karma will get them one day, and they'll suffer as much as those people did" Richard said, Sarah looked unmistakably hurt, which made me feel furious, what the hell is Richard doing? It was all my doing? Why won't he just attack me? I already figured out Sarah was planning all this against me too, what the fuck is Richard up to?
I couldn't help it, I walked up to them and clapped my hands, laughing, I didn't even care about the guests' throwing dirty looks at me.
"Well done, Richard! Don't you guys think this was interesting too?" I shouted. I then smiled at Richard then at Sarah who looked scared of me.
"Don't be scared babe, I won't do anything to you" I told her, Richard chuckled and shook his head.
"Take your whore and leave this place this instant" Richard said, Sarah looked up with furrowed brows.
"Th-this wasn't our plan" she whispered, Richard glared at her and chuckled.
"Do you think just because you've helped me once, you're a good girl now?" he declared, Sarah looked very sad and started weeping, I swallowed the lump in my throat, and could feel the strange pain again at the sight of Sarah crying.
"Don't humiliate her" I heard myself say, I was shocked and surprised at what I just said, but I didn't take it back, Sarah was still crying, I glared at Richard , feeling my blood boil.
"Why? Am I not right? Is she a good girl?"Richard asked, with raised eyebrows " She needs to pay too, all the world should know what type of person she is"
"But I apologized" Sarah muttered, with tears streaming down her face.
"You are the last person I wanna marry, I'm so glad now that the whole world knows what type of personality you have" Richard said " you're a whore, who would love you anyway?"
"Don't insult her!" I yelled at Richard, but he only smiled innocently with raised eyebrows, looking quiet amused.
"She deserves it" Richard said.
"I dare you say another word about her" I threatened him, pointing my finger at him. Richard only smiled, looking proud he has finally found my weak point.
"She's a whore" he said, and that was it for me, I grabbed the collar of his expensive shirt, gritting my teeth, feeling my blood boil, and I threw a hard punch at him.
I kept throwing punches at him, until I felt strong hands around me.
"Don't humiliate her, do you understand?" I kept yelling, but Richard just smiled as his brother, Henry and Kristen were by his side, Kristen was wiping his bloody mouth, I was trying my best to get free from these stupid people and throw another punch at him but they kept dragging me towards the door, then I felt my hands being handcuffed, that was when I realized, Richard has set a trap for me and I fell right into it.
The officers told me to stay quiet or whatever I say will be held against me in court, so I shut my mouth, I was dragged into the police car and was soon on my way to jail, on the way I asked what were my charges.
"Raping twelve girls, stealing from three banks, violence, and kidnapping, I think that's all, you can add more if you want to" the rude police officersaid, I sighed from frustration and closed my eyes, it was all true, I wasn't sorry I was caught though, I was feeling something else, something weirder, I felt worried for that girl, she didn't deserve all the things happening to her, I made her do them all.
I felt guilty, worried, and curious about her emotions, I wondered why. After thinking for a few minutes about the reason, I decided maybe it was because she was not a bad person, and I knew it. She was blinded like all those other girls in search for this stupid feeling called love. Other than Sarah another thing was occupying my mind, which was the little creature in her stomach, I can't believe I'll be a father soon, in nearly eight months.
I closed my eyes the entire way to the prison, thinking of only two people on my mind, Sarah and my baby.
